This place is a diamond in the rough. Located at a wide spot in the road, this lakeside Inn looks like an unremarkable motel from the front, but once you open the door to your room, it becomes clear that this modest first impression belies the large, well-appointed rooms that open onto a lush lawn extending all the way to the water. Depending on the weather, you're likely to spend more time outside your room than in; a lot more time gazing out the french doors and a lot less time watching TV. Lay down on the grass for a pleasant nap, dip your toes in the water, fish off the private dock or take a dip in the small heated pool. Have a picnic lunch on one of the tables provided out on the grass. Take a walk into the small town, following the lazy path along the lakeside, through the city park and across to the business row. There's one proprietor that runs a tasty bakery by day that becomes a family friendly tavern with outside seating and live music at night. The best thing for the budget conscious traveler is the price. At around $75 per night, you simply can't beat the bargain for clean, friendly, relaxing lakeside accommodations.

Room Tip: Get a ground floor room that opens onto the grassy area. It's like a huge extension of your room. Upstairs rooms have a balcony that overlooks the lake. There is one downstairs unit that opens onto the pool area, but fences and shrubbery obscure the lake view.

We had a nice large room, with easy chairs, desk, tv, frig, microwave and coffee maker. The room was clean and had a great grassy area outside of our room that faced the river/lake. The bathroom and shower were nice - great showerhead! There have been several upgrades and they were working while we were there but it was not a problem. Would go back in a heartbeat..

We arrived in the dark and had no idea what to expect. Turns out this place is very clean and well looked after by a family who has owned this piece of paradise for years. The bed was very comfy. It's a very quiet spot. The shower head was great. So was the water pressure. Woke up to the most wonderful view! Will definitely return.

I always stay here when conducting business in the area. It's a great value and I especially enjoy being able to walk outside to the river from my room. It's an older establishment, but management has done some upgrades. You're within walking distance to the town for food and drink.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms have French doors that open to the back for access to picnic tables, BBQ grills, and the river. There's a boat dock and swimming pool out back too.
