Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. First, they seemed short-staffed, but it's a family run operation, so who knows the reason for the line of customers waiting to pay, and the only apparent waitress, cashier, hostess, kitchen manager, running around trying to do it all.
We had no trouble finding a seat, it is a small place though, so I imagine they are easily overwhelmed and having such a small entry/cash register area adds to the confusion. It took some time for the waitress to address our orders, and took at least 20 minutes for lunch to arrive, not typical for the majority of Mexican places I've eaten at.
I ordered the fish tacos...not a good choice as they are deep fried and all you taste is the coating, and unfortunately, they were overcooked and dried out. The pintos and rice were great though. My husband ordered the grande tostada and he said it was very good. The chips are served good and hot and the salsa is definitely spicy. They also offer Coke in the bottle, the Mexican Coke with real sugar. A plus. Lunch for 2 with only one soda was $29...a bit pricey for what we had.
I am still exploring the Mexican faire in this area, but this was not the most positive experience.
