Stayed two nights in a King Suite with outside patio and hot tub as part of a two week road trip in mid September.
The Wild Iris describes itself as a boutique inn but it's really more a cross between a large B&B and a high class motel. That isn't as pejorative as it may sound and we had a very pleasant stay but communal facilities are limited to a small sitting area, the breakfast room and a reception which was only manned at certain times of the day.
Our room was very comfortable with plenty of space and the small outside seating area complete with hot tub and views of the garden and fields was a pleasant spot to end the day. The one thing to be aware of though are the sharp bed posts which were bigger than the actual bed and could seriously damage a toe if you weren't careful! We used the spare pillows to guard against this.
Breakfast was ideal with all kinds of help yourself items (fruit, cereal etc) followed by a warm dish of the day that see us up for sightseeing. The town of La Conner itself had bags of character and was no more than a 5-6 minute walk away.
All in all and despite my minor reservations we would stay there again.More
