We visit The Ale House a few times a year. We discovered The Ale House when it was on Main Street in Bothell, before moving next to the Yakima Fruit Market, in the same building as the Preservation Kitchen. And we have remained fan since it's move. We like this location, it is cozy, homey, and tasteful, and the menu and ale selections are tasty. Moderately priced, staff is always hospitable, and there are always regulars sitting at the bar. That's a sure sign of a good spot.

We were so happy to find such a unique and excellent lunch venue in Bothell. We had duck confit and wild boar ragu, both beautifully presented and expertly prepared. There is a good wine list and local beers on tap, and the owners clearly care about their food and their guests.

At our last visit (Aug 2016) we were informed that there's no longer a separate Ale House and Eatery menu. We were shown the Preservation Kitchen menu in the bar. Would now consider this listing obsolete.

If you are looking for a place with a good selection of beers and plenty of seating, the Ale House is your place. There is no food at all served in this restaurant. They do offer a very relaxed atmosphere and allow you to bring food into the their place. Some of our group ordered pizza which was delivered. We purchased subs at the supermarket which were spectacular. They have a variety of board games you could play as well. This is a good place to relax, enjoy a beer (they have a few wines as well) and bring your own food.

While my family and I enjoy going out weekly, this was our first time to the Ale House and the food was really good. We sat on the porch and the service could have been better. The waitress left us alone and should have checked on us more often. We would have orders more drinks and desert. I got one cup of coffee and not till we where ready to leave did they bring refills.

Really disappointed in the service, we spent almost three hours for dinner which was nice but it would have been a better experience if the waitress took care of us.

We'll go give it one more chance after I get over this time.
