Visited with my sister in law. We loved the ambience and the tea and goodies were just delicious. Highly recommend the dessert sampler and Monk tea. Also, the meringue was amazing!

I went here with 6 friends and we all decided to have their high tea. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. They have a great tea menu, the staff were friendly and efficient and the décor was delightful. It isn't your usual English tea restaurant, but it is quaint in its own way. We enjoyed the food and all had more than enough to eat, but I wouldn't say that their tea sandwiches were anything special. However, having said that, we still enjoyed it and had a great time. They also have a large menu with other options for "tea" other than high tea.

My friend and I had been wanting to go out for tea and decided to try the Village Eatery over going to other places we had been before. There are several options for tea. High tea with 4 courses is $26.95, Dessert tea sampler is $11.95. There is also a children's tea option. We chose the Village Tea with 3 courses for $21.95. The tea was served in a pot with a tea cozy. The tea selection is extensive. The tea we chose was in bags (not loose). The first course was soup or salad. We both opted for soup. It was served in a tea cup. We had the cream of broccoli and mulligatawny. Both were good, but not exceptional. The second course was sandwiches and fruit. The presentation was lovely and we enjoyed the variety. The third course is scones with jam OR lemon curd and English Norfolk Cream with an assortment of desserts. One of us chose jam and the other the lemon curd so we could try both. The scones were good, but again, not exceptional. There were at least 3 other desserts (cut to "tea" size), all very good. We enjoyed our experience, though nothing "wowed" us. One thing we both thought was quite unusual - the atmosphere is quaint, the serving pieces are lovely formal tiered servers, so . . . why is the sugar served in paper packets and not a sugar bowl, and why is the jam, cream and lemon curd served in plastic "ketchup" containers like you would get at a fast food restaurant? We thought this was very odd. That said, it was an enjoyable experience for an afternoon tea. The next time we both agreed we would try something from the lunch menu as several of the offerings were quite enticing.

Got takeout here today because I was in a hurry and on my own. Can't wait to bring my friend back. The food, service, and atmosphere was perfect.
