Unusual pieces of art that make you step back and think about what the artist was trying to convey. Hey, its free so you have nothing to lose but a little time. A variety of media was used to create the pieces of art so it should have something for about everyone.

Thank ConfederateMike

I always love it when a museum is free because it allows you to enjoy the art without pressure it’s pure enjoyment in mind. Some of the art in this museum was superb. I loved the pencil sketches by Micheal Felber and the art by Paul Pokémon. The fork in the road in the lobby was a hoot. Thy also have a great gift shop where I got a print and an ornament for reasonable prices.

If you come to Bainbridge Island, a visit to the Museum of Art is a must. Every piece of art here is so lovingly chosen and displayed, and the range of art is just phenomenal. It is small enough that an hour visit will suffice, but I guarantee you will want to linger and relish all the chosen displays. It’s a “Do Not Miss”!

Went in between exhibits. Still definitely worth a visit, but there was only one full exhibit on display.

This museum's focus is on Northwest Art.
Most exhibits are focused on regional NW art. It is beautifully displayed and has some very specific spaces such as Print Arts usually displayed in beautiful handmade letterpress books. Getting hungry? There is also a busy little bistro attached to the museum that serves well liked food and beverages. If you have children with you, check out the gift store which is part of the museum. Many styles of art and gifts usually within a generally reasonable price range. The museum is on the corner as you drive or even walk on the ferry.
