My husband, adult son and myself had dinner at the Potomac Mills Cheesecake Factory last week. Despite it being a Friday evening at the dinner hour, we were seated promptly in the outdoor seating area, per our request. When we were seated the sun was still shining and the table had no form of shade. It would have been helpful if we had been told our table would be in the sun before we made the decision to go outside. Other tables did have umbrellas. The menu is extensive and our server was knowledgeable about the offerings and did a good job refilling beverage glasses, bringing food promptly, etc. The food was satisfactory, but not exceptional. Portions are generous. In previous visits to The Cheesecake Factory, the meal felt like a special treat. Friday's meal, in comparison, seemed very similar to all the other local chains. We were a bit disappointed.
