Driving north from Florida. We were on he road for roughly 8 hours. Google maps showed major back-ups on 495 outside of DC and it was closing on 5 pm and the height of rush hour. There was simply no way we wanted to fight traffic just to reach our MD hotel. So, we quickly Yelped the nearest city which turned out to be Woodbridge, VA. Bingo. Up came Georgees Grill. 170 reviews and holding a 5-star Yelp rating easily convinced us to pull off 95 and drive a short 10 minutes to Georgee. It had just opened for dinner so we were one of the first through the very attractive historic building's/home's front doors. Seated promptly. The decor was very relaxing and attractive (even more so on the second floor). We were pleasantl surprised to have the husband owner )of the husband & wife team of owners) as our server. He clearly enjoys running this delightful restaurant with his wife...and does not hesitate to applaud the gourmet delights his wife principally prepares. He also does not hesitate to stop and chat...at least before Georgees starts to fill up. The Afgan-Meditteranean cuisine here is wonderful! I started with the soup of the day...a wonderful spring onion that I highly recommend if it is served the evening of your visit. The simple house salads were equally delightful with wonderful housemade dressing. The naan bread that accompanied our meal was warm and tasted great...esp. accompanied my the housemade condiments that came with it. For entrees, my wife had the vegetarian sampler, choosing eggplant, spinach and chana masala. I had the house specialty Korma Chalow. Both were delicious! We were offered gratis some house green tea to savor after our meals and it was a perfect finish to an equally perfect meal. We cannot recommend Georgees Grill enough.
