“AWESOME!!”

Fantastic staff! Great comfortable clean room. Great location. We arrived before the 3 PM check-in tine after a very busy weekend, but Douglas who was just coming on duty took care of us even though his shift had not started, as the other desk attendant was busy with other customers. We had a great stay and no problems at all. We had to extend our stay by one day, and had no issues with that either. At 74.95 a night it was a value! The water pressure in the shower wasn't great, but with a full hotel, I would not expect more. Thanks to a great staff and a great hotel chain!

We booked this hotel because our family of 5 decided that we needed more space than a standard size room and figured for the low price we could afford to get two rooms here. BIG MISTAKE! Normally we stay at Hilton Family or Marriott Family hotels but we couldn't afford to get two rooms at one of those places. This was our best option for the money.

The bad impressions started as soon as we entered the hotel. The "lobby" (I wouldn't even call it a lobby) was extremely small and decorated with mis-matched furniure that looked like it was taken from people's homes (not the type of place I want to go after driving 10 hours). Then when we checked in, the girl behind the desk was sitting on three pillows (these are probably the same pillows guests use and its disgusting to think that our heads are going where her butt was). When I booked the rooms, I requested connecting rooms, yet when we checked in we had rooms that were next to each other, not connecting, meaning me and my wife had to sleep in different rooms. We reluctantly checked in and walked to our room down the hall on the first floor. We first had to pass the loud and noisy laundry room. When we entered the room we were shocked.

The pictures made the place look OK and we knew not to expect the Ritz but once the door opened all our jaws dropped. It wasn't that it was not nice (even though it wasn't) but that the place was so dirty and looked extremely worn. The comforters had cigarrette burn holes in them. The TV (which was probably the oldest TV I've seen in a while) had dust all over it and scratches on the top in addition to a poor picture quality. The dresser was practically falling apart and the wood was comming off the back of it. Dead bugs were sitting on the window sill. The sign that this place was not up to standards was the chair. It looked as if someone had urinated in it (and it smelt like it). There were stains on the entire seat and we questioned the cleanliness of the rest of the room if a maid would overlook this problem. The bathroom was extremely tiny and it is only possible for one person to be in there at a time.

Overall, there are way better options in the area for the price point of this dump. We decided to spend one night of our four night vacation here and got our money back with no questions from management (is this common?). We stayed at the SpringHill Suites which was much nicer than this dump and was cleaner and overall a better value. We ended up paying less there for one beautiful room with two queen beds, sofabed, kitchen, and living room than for two disgusting rooms at this place.

Don't waste your time or money at this place if you want a nice vacation. Check out other options in the area.

Room Tip: There are no good rooms here

My boyfriend and I took a trip to Colonial Williamsburg for the fourth of July weekend last week and we had a fantastic stay at Sleep Inn. The front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was kept clean and did not smell of smoke (a major plus because we are non-smokers). The pool area was very nice but we did not get a chance to swim because the pool closes at 11 and that's when we were just getting in for the day. The breakfast was substancial and came with waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereal, apples, oatmeal, danish's, bagels as well as apple juice, coffee or milk to drink. Housekeeping was very friendly and did a great job! When we arrived I realized I forgot to pack the toothpaste and called to the front desk and they provided me with some, no charge. They were also very helpful at giving advice on places to eat or have food delivered. YOU MUST ORDER A PIZZA FROM SAL'S! It's amazing. Not too pricey either. The AC worked excellent. The only downside was the bed wasn't the most comfortable thing...I prefer a soft matress and these were very hard beds. Pillows were down feather and were way small and uncomfortable...The blankets weren't that great either but still...for the price that I paid to stay here...I will bring my own pillow and blanket next time lol. We checked out other hotels near by and they were all outrageous for the same if not less that we got from this hotel. It truely is the best in it's price range for this area. We are now making a trip to Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown our regular fourth of july celebration so we WILL be staying here again. VERY convienent location. You can see it from the road but you feel safe and secure kinda behind other restraunts and such. VERY close to Golden Corral and other restraunts. Close to Busch Gardens and the Colonial Parkway...I just can not see staying anywhere else. Seriously....best hotel experience ever!

Clean, Cheap, Safe, Working AC, Free Breakfast with waffles. No complaints, but, get to breakfast early, it ends at 930 but food is cleaned up starting a 900.
