Me, my wife and two children stayed at the Boardwalk while our house was under some minor renovations and the staff at the Boardwalk took real good care of us. We appreciate the "HOSPITALTIY" we were showed during our stay especially the GM Ronelle Leach. Ronelle was so nice to our children and really knew how to make us feel at home. Thabnk you for the Oceanfront Suite and peace of mind while we stayed with you.

Room Tip: Make sure you request a room away from the elevators and get a suite overlooking the ocean. A corner suite has an awesome view.

We were very pleased with this resort. It is right on the boardwalk and the beach, and most of the rooms are ocean front, with lots of windows for your enjoyment. The heating and cooling worked very well. The beds were quite comfortable. The seating in the living area was ample and comfortable. The ice maker was slow and the dishwasher, microwave and oven had seen better days, but still worked.
The only complaint was that the walls were not exactly sound proof. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I imagine, though, that the parking can be difficult during the high season. Over all, we were very happy with our stay here.

This resort is located right along the boardwalk, we had a partial ocean view 1bedroom with a full kitchen. Loved all of the amenities in this resort. One complaint iswhen we first checked in the kitchen sick did not drain, we had to call someone to fix it. They came right away with a snake and it smelled while they cleaned it, but they fixed it and we had no more problems. The bed was comfortable and the deck was a plus. The jacuzzi tub was WONDERFUL, the only thing I did not like was the tub was out in the open with the sink. The only enclosure was for the toilet. Overall I would would stay here again, fun times with the family and a great location.

`This resort was just okay. There were absolutely no activities for children. They had activites listed, but you had to go to other resorts for the activites. Who wants to walk or drive ten blocks to tie dye a shirt? Or who wants to travel to participate in a ping pong game? This was the first resort in twelve years that had absolutely nothing for my children except the pool. Pretty disappointing. Also, when we checked in that if we wanted free internet then we had to fill out an Interval Survey. When we turned in the survey, they would give us a code for free internet. On the survey, there was a paper attached saying that if you couldn't give them excellents on everything, then talk to the front desk. This was wrong. I felt like I had to lie and give them excellents so I would get free internet.

Our primary impression was that the Boardwalk Resort was adequate. "Resort" seems like too strong a term to describe this hotel. The lobby was basic and gave us the feeling that we would not want to hang around there. The parking deck was delightful, though (on the first three floors the parking deck led directly to the hallway). The suite itself was comfortable and well designed, although the kitchenette was small with room for only one person at a time. The view was spectacular with vistas of the ocean, the boardwalk, the pier and a lovely landscaped backyard. The suite sleeps up to 6 people, but the bathroom facilities seem designed for only 1 or 2. The indoor pool, spa and exercise room were all very user-friendly with a direct view of the waterfront. The worst aspect was that the Resort has a timeshare connection, in which we have no interest at all. In addition, there was no breakfast, no restaurant (closed), nor coffee in the lobby, etc. The most positive feature was the oceanfront view at a price 25%-33% lower than the more luxurious venues at Virginia Beach. However, similar accomodations are "a dime a dozen" and next time we would likely opt to pay the extra money for a higher quality experience.

Room Tip: Request an oceanfront suite on one of the lower floors.
