It's so wonderful to hear that your family had such an enjoyable getaway; the serenity is so beautiful and the perfect location to completely relax and enjoy quality time together whilst experiencing the beauty of our nature reserve. We hope to welcome you back the next time you need an escape from the city.

The cottage was great in that it was large and comfortable. The floor to ceiling windows were great and it made it very bright. The bathroom was large. It was clean. The decor was ordinary, wasn't anything special, but nice. We had a room at the front which was the best as we had privacy from the other cottages. The kangaroos in the morning and evening around the property was nice. You do need a car as it would be a bit far otherwise. It's close to all the restaurants and wineries which is nice. It didn't feel very rural as it's just off the main road and not hilly, flat land, but very pleasant for a day or two.

Thank you very much for sharing your personal experience of your stay at Yering Gorge Cottages. We are delighted that you had a great time; and that you enjoyed our resident kangaroo population roaming freely throughout the property - they definitely put on a great show when they come out from our gorgeous nature reserve; on your next visit we can definitely recommend exploring the 12 km of bush walking trails located on our property. It looks like you were able to get out and explore the local surrounds - we are very fortunate to be located within Melbourne's food and wine playground.

My stay in Yering was so so lovely! The staff is friendly, kind & very welcoming upon arrival and during the stay. The cottages are absolutely stunning! There are walking trails close by & heaps of wildlife to see. I hope to be back in Yarra Valley again one day and you better believe I'll be staying here again!

We travelled from Melbourne with our elderly parents from Hong Kong and we had such a great time there. Location was great, with just an easy 45 min drive from Melbourne city. The club was nicely decorated, clean and Staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. We loved our cottage, rooms were big, we had kangaroos and cockatoos at our doorstep. Our parents enjoyed the Aussie barbie and wine. After we checked out, we spent time enjoying the facilities like table tennis, driving range and tennis. None of us were golfers but we truly enjoyed the 2 nite stay.

How wonderful that your visit to our beautiful part of the Yarra Valley was enjoyed by your whole family. It's fantastic that your parents were able to have an authentic 'Aussie' experience with our abundance of kangaroos and a BBQ whilst here for Chinese New Year. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and we look forward to welcoming you back.

We had overseas guests visiting, and as my husband was a member at EGC,we thought a stay at Yering Gorge Cottages would be an ideal way to show off the beautiful Yarra Valley. How right we were.
The booking process was smooth and easy, we booked 2 cottages and the management made sure we were next to each other, near enough to socialise but far enough away to enjoy privacy.
We arrived in time to have lunch in the club house. Booking in was fast and easy and the staff were very accommodating when we explained we were having a BBQ dinner and could we store our food whilst we ate, not a problem, and they were happy to put our supplies in their fridge. We had lunch in the bar with fantastic views of the course excellent and very reasonably priced, 2 had calamari, 1 flathead fillets, this was huge, and 1 had bacon & egg sandwich and a dish of chips to share. Everything was so good.
After lunch we headed down to the cottages and the two golfers headed off to play, and the rambler went walking the trails, The cottages are so much bigger than they seem from the outside They have a great layout are spotlessly clean, really well equipped with everything you need for your stay. The bathroom was huge with a corner spa bath, seperate shower and l'occitaine products. The bed was super comfy and the linens were really good quality.
There were so many nice touches, the complimentary bottle of wine, plentiful breakfast basket with fruit, and fridge with fresh milk juices and coffee.
We had a BBQ, for dinner and right on cue the kangaroos arrived. Our visitors were thrilled.
We headed off the next morning to check out a couple of wineries and even managed to find an antique market.
We had a great stay, the staff were all really helpful and we got the impression that nothing would be a problem to make sure our stay was as good as it could be.
After this experience we would certainly stay here again and we would be sure to bring any future visitors.

Thank you so much for an amazing review; we are so delighted that you were able to provide your International guests with a beautiful, and very authentic, 'Australian' experience - kangaroos & a private BBQ; whilst having a very enjoyable time yourselves. Your great feedback on your lunch within the Members' Lounge has been shared with the team. We look forward to seeing you around the club; and returning to Yering Gorge Cottages.
