We had overseas guests visiting, and as my husband was a member at EGC,we thought a stay at Yering Gorge Cottages would be an ideal way to show off the beautiful Yarra Valley. How right we were.
The booking process was smooth and easy, we booked 2 cottages and the management made sure we were next to each other, near enough to socialise but far enough away to enjoy privacy.
We arrived in time to have lunch in the club house. Booking in was fast and easy and the staff were very accommodating when we explained we were having a BBQ dinner and could we store our food whilst we ate, not a problem, and they were happy to put our supplies in their fridge. We had lunch in the bar with fantastic views of the course excellent and very reasonably priced, 2 had calamari, 1 flathead fillets, this was huge, and 1 had bacon & egg sandwich and a dish of chips to share. Everything was so good.
After lunch we headed down to the cottages and the two golfers headed off to play, and the rambler went walking the trails, The cottages are so much bigger than they seem from the outside They have a great layout are spotlessly clean, really well equipped with everything you need for your stay. The bathroom was huge with a corner spa bath, seperate shower and l'occitaine products. The bed was super comfy and the linens were really good quality.
There were so many nice touches, the complimentary bottle of wine, plentiful breakfast basket with fruit, and fridge with fresh milk juices and coffee.
We had a BBQ, for dinner and right on cue the kangaroos arrived. Our visitors were thrilled.
We headed off the next morning to check out a couple of wineries and even managed to find an antique market.
We had a great stay, the staff were all really helpful and we got the impression that nothing would be a problem to make sure our stay was as good as it could be.
After this experience we would certainly stay here again and we would be sure to bring any future visitors.

Thank you so much for an amazing review; we are so delighted that you were able to provide your International guests with a beautiful, and very authentic, 'Australian' experience - kangaroos & a private BBQ; whilst having a very enjoyable time yourselves. Your great feedback on your lunch within the Members' Lounge has been shared with the team. We look forward to seeing you around the club; and returning to Yering Gorge Cottages.

Lovely and spacious self-contained cottages on the grounds of the Eastern Gold Club. Very clean, modern, private and comfortable. Everything you could want was supplied.

Fantastic view of kangaroos in the evenings. Took our breath away.

We spent a couple of days in family there.
When you see the pictures on the profile, you guess that is only a picture like the other one...
In fact, everything is similar (Kangaroos, Quietness, quality, etc.) and even better !
Everything is perfect and it was a real pleasure.
Thanks again to the all staff for their welcome and their professionalism.

Have stayed in many many places all around the world. For self-contained cottages Yering Gorge Cottages are as good as it gets. Wonderful staff, easy check-in, quiet "bush" surroundings; cottage appointed with everything you'd want.

We stayed 2 nights in the Yarraview cottage. Due to a late flight from Brisbane we arrived after close of check in but everything was organised perfectly. We found the cottage very easily thanks to the clear and detailed instructions from Aimee. The cottage was just beautiful with its bright, modern setup. And roos all over the place in the Morning and evening. The restaurant in the club house closes a bit early but serves excellent food.

We would like to get back to the Yering Gorge Cottages sometime.
