On a Friday Night the Eastland Shopping Centre was very quiet except for the"Town Square" cafe/restaurant precinct. After wandering around the offerings we stopped by 400 Gradi East and they had a table for 2 available. The service was very efficient, courteous, and the staff were well versed in the menu options and specials on offer. We ordered a vegetarian anti pasto dish for 2 which was perfectly sized for us, and a good variety of quality ingredients - even the artichoke was good eating, not normally our favourite. Whilst the place is known for its pizza selection (which appeared quite a good range, and more reasonably priced than the secondi, we ordered 2 of the specials, being the fish of the day (salmon) and a thin sliced steak with balsamic dressing. Both dishes were of exceptional quality and a good size, however pricey they seemed when ordering. They had a good selection of wines both local, interstate and DOC/DOCG Italian varieties. Overall a great quality meal though it does burn a hole in the pocket for a suburban cafe/restaurant - price for 2 including wines by the glass, no dessert was around $A160

Visited the restaurant in Town Square Ringwood with my family.
When you finish your meal at the end of the night and the garlic focaccia you shared for starters was the best thing you ate all night, well, it's not great.
The meals were expensive and the portions were very small. $36 for a spanner crab pasta dish, which came with 4 pieces of cherry tomato in it, about 6 slices of zucchini, half a spanner crab on top. Some crab meat was included in the pasta already. Not very tasty, would not recommend.
The service was OK, staff were polite, but be prepared to wait a while for them to take your order.
I certainly won't be in a hurry to eat here again.

Having made a booking at this restaurant for my daughter and myself for dinner we were shown to a table for two that is right beside the cutlery drawer and computer station for staff members to use. This was a constant source of noise and staff were continually coming back and forth chatting and making quite a lot of noise right on top of you. Whilst they were only going about their job it is unfortunately right up against the table and I was even brushed up against a few times because it was so close. I am very surprised that this table is even used let alone given to someone who has made a booking considering walk up starts were shown to much better tables. This is the last table that should be given to any diners.
Upon leaving this restaurant I made mention to the lady at the front of the counter that it was a very unpleasant table to sit at due to the noise etc and my comments were met with a response of next time that you dine with us ask not to sit there. WOW.. I cannot believe that this lady who is the manager there had such an arrogant response.. Heres a tip for you Gradi.. Customers are what make your restaurants successful.. We should matter and when feedback is given to you especially in a polite way you should care about it and take it on board. You were incredibly arrogant and offered no apology nor gave any care to my comments. Your location in that Ringwood scene will allow you to be busy Im sure but you could learn a tip or two from your Brunswick and City Partners. Very disappointed and food not up to the standard of Gradi either..

Ordered a pizza and a pasta to share with a friend for lunch. Service was attentive and meals came out quickly. Pizza had a good base, just the right amount of chewiness and the pasta was delicious. However, definitely not a cheap feed.

First thing - The place needs something to block the afternoon sun and evening sunset... it awful the beaming hot made it a really hard to enjoy ourselves. The food didn't have much taste and was expensive for what you got.
