On a Friday Night the Eastland Shopping Centre was very quiet except for the"Town Square" cafe/restaurant precinct. After wandering around the offerings we stopped by 400 Gradi East and they had a table for 2 available. The service was very efficient, courteous, and the staff were well versed in the menu options and specials on offer. We ordered a vegetarian anti pasto dish for 2 which was perfectly sized for us, and a good variety of quality ingredients - even the artichoke was good eating, not normally our favourite. Whilst the place is known for its pizza selection (which appeared quite a good range, and more reasonably priced than the secondi, we ordered 2 of the specials, being the fish of the day (salmon) and a thin sliced steak with balsamic dressing. Both dishes were of exceptional quality and a good size, however pricey they seemed when ordering. They had a good selection of wines both local, interstate and DOC/DOCG Italian varieties. Overall a great quality meal though it does burn a hole in the pocket for a suburban cafe/restaurant - price for 2 including wines by the glass, no dessert was around $A160
