No table service, people are friendly enough, don't expect anything great. My mum had the big breakfast, the steak, mushrooms & bacon was over cooked. I had the corn fritters honestly they were just batter with some corn, no flavor at all. They charge as if you where in CBD of Brisbane, way off.

Friendly staff. You need to order and pay at the till. The order is brought to by the friendly waitresses. Good value for money. very busy at certain times of the week especially weekends. Advisable to ring ahead and book a table for a set time.

This place is now called “Ricks”, and is on the corner of the Esplanade, opposite Kacy’s. It’s a dazzling view of the water in a breezy alfresco setting while you enjoy your meal.

I visited for breakfast and again for lunch. Breakfast was the smashed avo, bacon, poached eggs on toast. No problem to substitute for GF toast. The poached eggs were perfect. Lunch was the garlic prawns and the creamy garlic sauce was great. I love garlic - no vampires would come near me after this meal! The staff are very friendly and are happy to accommodate for gluten free options. This cafe can get busy at times so there may be a wait for your food during busy periods. It is worth it as all meals are plated nicely and cooked well.

Hi, I am re-reviewing this restaurant, as they are under new management and also last time I was here for dinner, this time for breakfast.

This is the same restaurant that was called Salt, now they are called The Rocks, or Ricks (it was not clear). I called in advance, Thursday morning they opened at 7am. I ordered the zucchini and corn fritters with 2 poached eggs, bacon, hollandaise sauce, spinach, cherry tomatoes. It was absolutely fabulous. Eggs slightly overcooked, but the fritters were perfect, so light and crispy. Loads of bacon provided - I could not eat it all. Good value for money, at $17.50.

My friend ordered the omelette which came with toast. We could not help but laugh when it came out. It was not a soft, folded, elegant french-style omelette, it was more like a frittata, thick and in the shape of the saucepan it was cooked in and popped out of. It was apparently yummy enough, but really far too big. It must have had 4 or 5 eggs in it - I think it would be a fine breakfast for 2 people!

The view is absolutely stunning here, looking out over the water at Bargara. Such a pleasant way to start the day. FYI you go up to the till to order and pay. Food is brought out to you by waitresses.
