We stayed at The Bryn last weekend as a last minute booking and booked the Gulaga room. We spent the day in Central Tilba visiting the village, the winery and he cheese factory before checking in.

Never having stayed at a B&B before we were a little hesitant about how much we'd be left alone but it was perfect. The owners keep to themselves in the main property, only having someone come down in the morning to cook breakfast (which was superb). The free wifi was fantastic as there is very little coverage in Tilba. The property is gorgeous and the views of the valley and out to the ocean from the wraparound verandah are beautiful. Our room was enormous, as was the spa and it was all so warm and comfortable. We couldn't fault a thing. Perfect weekend out of town.

The Byran is just outside Central Tilba - up a steep drive. It is a lovely setting with views to the ocean.
We had booked the largest of the three rooms - it was fantastic. Very comfortable king sized bed and lovely living area with sofas and coffee table where we could watch TV and DRDs. All beautifully decorated and the room opens out onto a verandah that surrounds the house.
Breakfast is served in the living room in the house- a continental selection including a great fruit salad but hot dishes cooked if you would like them.
You can use the kitchen facilities in the house in the evening - microwave and BBQ outside if you wish.
The wifi was exceptional for a country area.
We thought that this was an exceptional B & B - beautiful quiet location, lovely house and great rooms.

The Bryn is situated in a beautiful spot high on the side of a mountain. It was raining when we were there but on a fine day you can see all the way to the ocean over green rolling hills. The rooms are large & comfortable & there is a big lounge area with a huge bay window overlooking the veiw.
A very relaxing place to stay

Room Tip: There are only 3 rooms all of which are a good size. One is larger, more of a family room

We arrived weary but were energised firstly by the welcome and authentic hospitality paired with the elements of nature present ; views of the ocean, sunrise, magnificent gums and the sounds of the birds. An opportunity to connect with guests from Canada was a bonus. Combined with the Cobargo folk festival just 20 mins up the road with music for the soul ...a perfect retreat !!!

Five days into our Sydney to Melbourne coastal drive, we found ourselves at the foot of a hill with a sign at at the bottom indicating that we had reached our destination,(The Bryn at Tilba). As we made our way up the steep drive, we rounded a curve and the property came into view on our left about three quarters of the way up the hill. We drove further up the hill, levelled off to our left and then drove a short distance down to the property. We were met at the property by the owner who showed us to our room and then showed us round the rest of the property. I am not going to describe the property except to say it is exactly as portrayed on the website. We were accommodated in one of the two smaller rooms which was plenty big enough for the two of us but if you want to give yourself a special treat, pay that little bit extra for the larger of the three rooms. All three rooms have access to the veranda with two chairs and a table each. This property is ideal for taking time out to rest and recuperate as you make your way along the coastal drive between Sydney and Melbourne. Instead of going out for dinner, provision yourself with whatever food you fancy, a bottle of your favourite wine and spend a relaxing evening sitting in the lounge, admiring the view and listening to music on the mini music system or alternatively just chill out on the veranda and watch the day fade into night. The only thing to disturb the peace and tranquility may be the distant lowing of a cow or the call of a bird as it flies from one tree to another. We loved staying at this property and will do so again if we are ever down this way again.
