“Fantastic Experience!”
Reviewed 13 January 2015 for a stay in August 2014

My family of 6 stayed in Honua Kai #142 last month for 10 days and the condo/resort was excellent!
Highlights:
-Trevor was extremely easy to work with, was attentive, and did everything he could to make our stay wonderful. He was genuinely interested in our experience at his condo.
- Trevor's on-site manager was also very polite, prompt, courteous, and helpful...everything you could ask for.
- The condo location was ideal for us (4 young kids): it was on the ground floor, gave us easy access to the resort grounds, underground parking; faced "out" (not facing the inside of the resort) which turned out to be very quiet and peaceful - very little foot-traffic or people peering in; had a very large lanai with great glass wall that opened up to allow access in/out.
- The unit was very well maintained and in great condition. Trevor has done a nice job stocking the unit with boogey boards, snorkeling gear, cooler, umbrella, etc. And we left behind a skim board for others to use!! - The resort/location was ideal for us as we have a toddler and 3 older children (10-12). Having all of the resort amenities (like the pools/beach/snorkeling) was great as we could go offsite for a 1/2 day and return to the resort and let the kids play while our toddler napped. We didn't feel like we had to be on the go the whole time to entertain the kids - they had plenty to do onsite. It was also very nice having a good restaurant like Dukes at the resort - it made meals easy when we didn't want to cook, or go out.

Overall, an excellent resort to stay at and a great condo in particular, and a really nice owner to work with. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again!! Mahalo!

Management Response
7 May 2017
This is an older review but I just wanted to add that I continue to add amenities to the condo such as a lock for the nana doors that open to the lanai and yard that we enjoy on the first floor. I've also replaced the 44 inch living room TV with a 65 inch Samsung 4K model and connected a Playstation 4 to it. I've also added a powerful wireless router and you can stream movies to any of the 3 TVs in the condo. Duke's is great to have at the resort although it's only a 1 minute walk from our back door to the Viking gas grills and I like taking a beer or glass of wine with me when I barbeque there by the pool and ocean.
