My husband and I loved our stay in Casa Ella. We were greeted by Maria at the airport when we arrived. Maria gave us a tour around the town in her car, and let us pick some groceries for the week, because we did not rent an transportation vehicle for our stay. Maria also checked with us after few days to see whether we needed anything, and if everything was well.
The house was clean and very well maintained. The kitchen was well supplied with all essential cooking equipment and some staples such as spices and sugar. The house had a nice breeze going through, which was very pleasant, especially since there was no a/c. The place was quiet, except the roosters at night, but that had nothing to do with the house. The noise was all around the island and we got somewhat used to it by the end of our stay. Today, my husband and I laugh about it, because the noise was really unusual.
Another perk about this place was the location – it was within a walking distance from the main snorkeling beaches. We walked to many beaches and to the town. It took us about 20 minutes to walk to the town, and about 50 minutes to walk to Flamenco and Tamarindo beaches, and over an hour to walk to Carlos Rosario. A walk to Melones beach was about 45 minutes long. We did not see all of the beaches, but we went to Culebra for snorkeling and the best snorkeling places were within a walking distance.
I would recommend Casa Ella as it was a positive part of our stay at Culebra. We had amazing time and made memories for life in this magical place.
