Description: Yu & You is an award winning, contemporary Cantonese Chinese restaurant and bar located in Copster Green within the heart of the picturesque Ribble Valley in Lancashire, Northwest England. Our established restaurant was founded and is owned by our passionate head chef Charlie Yu. Charlie, pictured below, founded Yu & You in Horwich, near Bolton, in 1989 before relocating the restaurant to Copster Green in 2004. Charlie leads our multi-award winning culinary team in the kitchen whilst his daughter, Victoria, oversees the smooth running of the restaurant and bar.

We really enjoyed our 3 courses here; but absolutely the star of the show was the Salt & Pepper Monkfish main course, wow! Really juicy pieces of monkfish tail in a really light, crispy, non greasy batter with a generous sprinkling of salt, pepper & chilli on a bed of crispy noodles. The best Chinese main course we've ever had.
Also worth a mention was our other main course, Tai Po Crispy CHilli chicken, delicious. Deep fried chicken in a sweet, spicy, tangy sauce; not like the gloopy, syrupy sweet you often get at lesser Chinese restaurants that could be confused for a desert!
Soup & ribs were excellent also, but the mains really stole the show; make sure you get a side of salt & pepper chips also, fantastic accompaniment.
This place is more expensive than most other Chinese restaurants I've been to, but to put it simply, it's better, you get what you pay for. It's not just the food that's better, it's everything; you can't help but notice how many waiting staff there are for example, which means the service is so much friendlier, less rushed than normal. The staff don't act like you asking them for a beer is a huge inconvenience to them, which makes a refreshing change from the silent, surly, ruthlessly efficient service you'll often find at Chinese restaurants.
Can't wait to come back!

some nice dishes some substandard - certainly a hike in price but nevertheless seems popular - the basics need a bit more work - things like the starters should be served hot and crisp - main courses lukewarm also - wines cocktails expensive for what you get - service uncertain

Elements of the food served at Yu and You were excellent - particularly the crispy chicken and dim sum. Curry was good, pork dish very nice and rice pleasant. It's nice to be able to take the leftovers away to have the next day as well.

We did have to wait a long time for our (2030) booked table (arrived at 2010, asked to sit at the bar and nothing more was said until we were shown to a table at 2055), and then it took about 20 mins to take our order / ask if we wanted another drink. The bar is a nice area and cocktails were tasty.

Prices do feel high. £10.50 for four king (not massive) prawns and sweet chilli sauce is steep, rice comes in small portions and upwards of £20 for some of the mains may be seen as excessive.

Overall though a pleasant enough experience.
