The management have had more than six months to properly address the complaints we raised on site. Villa 3 is not air conditioned, it is not adjacent to the hotel and it is no better than 2 Star. Bathrooms, kitchen and furnishings are out dated and in poor condition, with rusty appliances and fitments. There is no security alarm, no safe, no phone to contact the hotel reception and no ventilation. When the golf club gate is locked (at 9pm) it is 1.9 km to walk back from the hotel restaurant around the perimeter of the golf course (dinner only is served from 8pm). All of this was pointed out to the duty manager during our stay. All we wanted was a proper apology and recognition of overpricing for something that was not 4 star and not air conditioned, when this is what is clearly advertised on the villas website page. We booked direct so all information was as provided directly by the hotel. Our preference is to address complaints privately, but please be warned that the villas are not what is advertised and the management do not care.

Another enjoyable stay at La Costa from 25 July to 3 August. Very friendly and hard-working staff who do well to put up with what seems like a lot of unnecessary guidance from management/owners. Lovely quiet Junior Suite with views of pool area and surrounding woodland.

This is for the Apartments and not the hotel.

There is no AC and it is hot both during the day and at night here. This means that either you leave the doors open to get some air (there are no fans either) and deal with the mosquitoes (lots of them), or close the doors and enjoy a sauna.

The WiFi only worked in one spot in our room, right next to the stove top, and was unreliable otherwise.

Parking is underground and you must pay extra for this and it has a very low ceiling, so not all vehicles can use it. It also nearly flooded while we were there and had to move the car out just to be safe (of our own initiative, no notification from the staff).

Rooms were clean, but if you have neighbors, you will hear them for sure. Fixtures were old, and in our case, the fridge just barely kept the cheese from melting.

The pool was great as was the staff in particular the lifeguard was great with the kids.

Bottom line, for the price, you could do a lot better and it is definitely not a place that we would return too. Not having either a fan or AC was a major deal breaker for almost 200 euros a night.

Positives:
- Pool including 25 m lap section for working out.
Rooms were spacious, very clean, and nicely done. Wifi was good
- Food including included breakfast was well done, although we ventured out towards the end of our stay..
- Beach was close and easy to access. semi private beach. Be careful if you walk along the beach...There are some nudist sections which made my teenage kids laugh.
- Make sure to take a half day trip to the nearby medieval village. Lots of restaurants (we liked ours in the castle moat) and very interesting.
- We had 5 people in three rooms, so had to rent van/driver from Barcelona, which was an expensive $230 Euros.
- Great Staff, especially the main guy at the pool bar/restaurant. Took care of us with recommendations. Front desk staff was good.
- Place was very clean.
Negatives:
- Had a boisterous bunch of French business people wake us up at 4 AM on morning, but no similar issues.
- Seemed a bit unnecessary to charge us for an thatched umbrella at the beach along with a cost for the chair, being hotel guests.
Overall very good.

Room tip: All rooms are either pool view or slightly obstructed ocean view (from what I could see) so I dont think you can go wrong.
