There are some nice furniture and interior shops in Mallorca, however Villa Wesco is one of the best. Some great ideas and products. A little pricey, but Mallorca has lots of €million + villas so it is aiming at the higher end of the market.
However there are lots of little items you can pick up, picture frames, mirrors, lights small items etc but they make just a casual visit worth while. If you want a fantastic bespoke kitchen or garden furniture then this is also the place to meet your needs.
We found all the staff very friendly and welcoming, we were encouraged to walk around and visit the 4 floors of furniture and also the traditional house next door, which is also furnished and fitted out - but wheres the main shop is ultra modern and smart with the house next door they have retained the original floors and walls doorways etc.
So I would recommend a visit its about 30 mins by car from Palma.
It is also on the edge of the wine region so you could double up with a tour of a wine maker, Macia Batle is pretty much right next door. (we haven't done it yet, so I can't comment on the trip although its €10 per person so it seems good value.
As a warning we originally went to Santa Maria to visit the market... not worth a visit unless you are over in Mallorca for a while and want to buy food, fruit and veg, cheese etc the food looked great, but the vast majority of the market was full of crap! Thousands of old ladies knickers, ponchos and crappy clothing - you could buy the same at any crappy market at home - if you don't want any style or design... absolute rubbish! Oh and the main reason for mentioning the market (which is on a Sunday) is my wife had her purse stolen from her bag... so watch out. Stick to Villa Wesco and the Wine Tour and forget the market... unless you're short of some Bridget jones knickers!
