We booked direct with the hotel , a swim up suite with Jacuzzi. The suite was lovely & the deck & pool made it. Not sure the Jacuzzi was worth bothering with as it was cold (the swim up pool was colder than the main family pool). The room suited us really well as we have young kids & other family members were staying at the hotel & it was located very close to the family pool.
We stayed at the end of August & literally any activity we wanted to do was available right when we wanted it without having to prebook (tennis, padel tennis, bikes, nature farm).
We booked on half board & found the food to be excellent both in terms of quality & the cost over the B&B price. It is a buffet restaurant but the food quality & choice is pretty much unrivalled for a half board offering at buffet style. We were also able to get an outdoor table at every meal we wished except for the Thursday night special buffet which is also sold externally & seemed to attract a lot of none residents.
Overall a very relaxed holiday, despite it being high season nothing felt over busy except the beach, which was very busy!
The resort of Sa Coma didn't impress me however, it felt a bit too much like 1900's Majorca, lacking in the high end eateries that many other resorts now have. I would return to the hotel but really just for a relaxing break as opposed to the whole resort package, that said there are definitely far nicer area's of Majorca (we holiday in Majorca up to twice a year) & £3k for a week HB (no flights) does buy you quite a lot of options.

Room Tip: Sun was gone from our swim up suite deck by 1pm. If you require all day sun choose one of the suites with semi private roof top pool.

4 of us stayed here as a family for a short break in September for 4 nights as the hotel we usually visit in Cala Bona was fully booked.

On arrival we were checked in very swiftly and the receptionist was very helpful. The complimentary fizz was a nice touch.

We had booked 2 junior suites and had rooms 319 and 320 over looking the adults pool. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The beds were extremely comfy and we had the best nights sleep we have ever had in any hotel simply because there was no noise late at night or in the mornings e.g. people banging doors or talking loudly. Just a note that our room 319 was much bigger than room 320, I believe this was because 320 was a corner room.

We made use of both pools but particularly liked the adults pool as was so quiet. The swim up bar and hammocks were a bonus. The cushioned sun loungers were also heavenly.

The pool snack bar was quite expensive so we ate out at the local bars/restaurants at lunch time. The closest one is a few minutes walk away.

The food in the hotel (half board) is unreal. The choice and quality is out of this world and all staff work extremely hard. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening.

On the rainy day we had, we used the spa facilities (free of charge) and would highly recommend. We also visited the crazy golf which is a 5/10 minute walk away to the other side of the complex. This was also brilliant. There is so much to do at the other Protur hotels, we just wish we could have stayed for longer.

The reviews say it all. Hopefully we can visit this beautiful hotel again in the future and maybe treat ourselves to a room with the rooftop pool and hot tub :)

Room Tip: Room 319 over looks the adults pool. So does 320 but is a corner room so a lot smaller

Myself and my partner attended the Biomar Gran Hotel for our friends wedding. It was an absolutely beautiful day to say the least. The ceremony took place in the grounds of the hotel which are so very clean and well kept. We then had a private Reception on the terrace of one of the Restaurants with a buffet that could have easily fed over 100 people (there were 40 of us altogether!). The food was amazing and the staff were really friendly. The manager/wedding co-coordinator was on site throughout and kept checking that the Bride and Groom were happy. They said how thorough he was with organising everything. The Bride & Groom surprised the wedding party and hired out the nightclub within the hotel which was a fab way to end the day. We obviously didn't stay overnight in the hotel but if the rooms are anything like the rest of the hotel, I'm sure they would be beautiful! Thank you for a lovely day.

We stayed at the Biomar Gran Hotel & Spa (1st – 8th September 2017) as a special treat to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary. We booked a Junior Suite through Thomson but requested via the hotel to have a quiet room, high floor with sea view if possible, these requests were granted and we had a wonderful balcony with sea view across to Sa Coma beach. We chose a private taxi transfer which was fast and efficient both ways, we went to the Thomson desk on arrival at Palma de Mallorca and were given a taxi immediately! Return was also smooth being collected from the hotel reception at the appointed time – details of which were sent by text to our phone a few days before departure, not by the rep putting a piece of paper under the door as in previous holidays.
We could not have been happier with the reception staff ( & glass of champagne). They where friendly and efficient with our check in , then the reception staff member who had helped us with our suitcases from the taxi took us to our room and orientated us to the layout of the hotel so that we could find the restaurant for our evening meal.
We ate breakfast and dinner in the buffet restaurant, we enjoyed the food so much that within days a lot of our clothes were getting too tight to wear! The range and quality of the food on offer is truly amazing and not the same dishes each day. Cava Blanco & Rose, fresh orange juice (next to yogurts) and water are available at breakfast and waiting staff take your order for drinks at dinner time but we chose mostly chose still mineral water (4.50 euro). Staff promptly clear your table as you chose your next course, and no matter what time you go into eat there is always a full choice available as only small amounts of food are put under heat lamps or in covered dishes and replenished regularly( lids are put to one side on a special area whilst you take a portion). The seating areas are divided into sections inside and out but you can eat at whatever time you want and sit where you want as well at tables for 2 or 4 persons! We found that most children there where well behaved, not many during this visit it has to be said, although their where many more at the weekend as Spanish families used the hotel then and the BBQ night was a little more hectic but the weather that day had been unsettled and this event was held inside instead of the Terrance Bar.
For our anniversary we booked the Asian al a Cart restaurant, that night all these restaurants where combined into one overlooking the adults pool. They operate a system where you can dine in these restaurant for free once during your stay, on arrival you receive a free glass of Rose Cava, we liked this cava so ordered a bottle to go with our meal and bottle of still water for 23 euro. Our table was decorated with rose petals and there was a single long stemed white rose ( in a small container of water) on the table. The meal was a set menu but having said that it was delicious and compliments certainly go to all the chefs in this hotel! Again the staff are very welcoming and courteous – everywhere we went we seemed to see the manager asking every one how they were and asked if everything was ok.
The adult pool was heaven, very quiet (couldn’t hear the family pool area at all), water was clear and warm and the overall setting with the palm filled garden behind the pool bar lent itself to many photo opportunities. The Bali beds are free any adults to use (unlike Sensatori Tenerife), there is a sign saying don’t reserve beds – still some feel they must do so but we were still able to find sunbeds in the shade with umbrellas (fixed) in the morning and later moved to then unoccupied bali beds as the heat of the day lessened (32 degrees one day!). Towels are exchanged at the first aid point at 5pm each day and when you leave you put them by this door ( no towel card given out). We used the spa once but could have used it every day if we had wanted, it is at no extra cost, you are given a swim hat and slippers but you need 1 euro to use the lockers which is returned). The toilets are by the side of the Terrace bar, next to the buffet restaurant, upstairs by the al a cart restaurants and by the indoor pool which is in the lower level of the block by the family pool – very few people seem to find this pool, so it very tranquil and has toilet and shower facilities within the pool area so we used these once we had given in our room key on the final day so that we could get changed for our departure.

All in all we had a wonderful relaxing holiday – thank you all so much!

Room Tip: Room 407 Junior Suite with balcony and sea view

Visited this beautiful hotel at the beginning of September when the weather was still hot. We found this hotel very modern clean and well equipped.

Breakfast and dinner (as we were half board) had an endless variety of options. You can tell that everything was fresh to a high standard. We want for meal to one of the specialist restaurants which we really enjoyed. If you fancy something a little different they offer a twist on Spanish tapas fine dinning fusion style. We would also recommend a wine pairing.

We absolutely loved the swim up bar! They were willing to make up any drink that we wanted.
We found staff very attentive, the main manager was always around to greet people and to check the standards were maintained.

The evening entertainment was different every night and in keeping with the type of hotel guests. We noticed when people were ordering drinks the waiter always bought out the relevant branded bottle in front of guests to pour their drink in front of them. We liked this touch.

Only couple of small changes to improve the experience.

On the first day of arrival we found 2 small complimentary bottles of water however there were no more bottles after that, which in a 5 star resort you would expect.
Perhaps a clock in the swim up bar :-)
All in all we found this to be a great 5 star hotel and very relaxing holiday and would definitely recommend the hotel.
