Just back from a 5 night stay at The Villa 3 Uvas and we had a lovely time. We took a taxi from the airport which cost 45 Euros, the taxi driver got a bit lost, partly our fault and he rang the owner Antonio who kindly met us at the train station so the taxi man could follow him. We found Antonio very kind and helpful, showing us around and advising of how things worked. Unfortunately as it was Sunday the local supermarket was shut however we had purchased water and milk from the airport and taken our own tea and coffee, plus some snacks. We found the villa very clean, a real mixture of modern and traditional fittings and it was very well equipped, if you had forgotten something it probably had it.
The swimming pool was exceptional, a real treat. As was the entire outside space, lovely trees, nice terrace to enjoy meals, nice sunbeds etc
The supermarket is a 15 minute walk (you have to cross the railway) and had everything you could need so we were able to stock up the next day. We took a walk on 2 evenings into the town square for nice food and everyone is very friendly. Take a torch for the journey home, there is street lighting but it does help to have one we found.
The villa is very secluded. There is a resident cat who is very friendly and lives outside, he didn't bother us.
We decided to take the train back to Palma when we left, it was very easy and efficient and only cost 1.85 euros each, we then took a taxi from the train station to the airport (20 euros) and next time we will probably get the train both ways.
There is no air con at the villa which isn't unusual but it was extremely hot while we were there, luckily Antonio had supplied 2 floor fans, these were a godsend but take earplugs if you intend to leave them on all night. It helped.
We cant wait to return next year, you soon forgot the hot night times as soon as you woke up to the pool, breakfast on the terrace and the views.
Lovely villa, we will be back. Thank you Antonio!
