If you haven’t been to the Botanical Garden yet, you are missing a true gem of a garden. There is always something beautiful to see during each growing season and the Garden of Lights display during the Christmas holidays makes this a year-round destination.

If you like plants and flowers this is the place for you. Lots of walking. Go early in the morning ir later in the afternoon to avoid the heat.

Wonderful garden, we take our grandkids there often, they love to play on the 'mountain' of sand. First class Botanical Garden with a great collection. Can't wait for spring and go see the azaleas.

How to spend a relaxing several hours in verdant splendor? Go to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens!

We jumped on the tram tour to get a view of the entire gardens and thereafter we wandered around on foot. If you get tired or hungry, there is a cafe on premises as well as bathroom facilities.

This is not a small space! It covers about 150 acres of various types of gardens: Japanese, tropical, rhododendron glade, conifers, ferns, hummingbird garden, wildflower meadow, butterfly maze, rose garden, rose garden, pond, lake and more. Bring comfortable shoes for the walk!

The gardens are open from 9am to 5pm with extended hours from April 1-October 16.

Admission is $11 for adults, $10 for seniors and $9 for kids ages 3-18.

In addition to the tram tour, you can book a boat tour as well.

Classes are also offered at the Norfolk Botanical gardens on the art of bonsai, worm composting, container workshops and more.

Plenty of free parking.

When in Norfolk, visit the Gardens!
