Description: Once you enter the madonnetta you immedately realize that it's a very old and typical 'osteria'. In fact it has practically unchanged since our great-grand father giuseppe together with his wife erminia opened it in 1904. It is a place where everyone can fill at ease because the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing: there are people sitting around tables drinking wine, having business lunches, birthday celebration with close friends or couples having a romantic dinner. The guests are looked after by the whole family who give wonderful hospitality and make sure the guests are happy and made to feel at home. Our kitchen offers a wide choice of cold mets like salami, sopressa, pancetta and local mountains cheeses from asiago and monte grappa, as well as delicious pickled vegetables. Among the first courses there are different varieties of soups, backed lasagne prepared in different ways according to the season and home made pasta like bigoli with varius sauces. Most of the main courses are prepared according to our regional tradition like liver, cooked in the venecian way, tripes or dries cod prepeared as we do in vicenza. Unforgattable is also our baked rabbit and goose, meat balls and seasonable vegetables. We hightly recommend you to try our jams made from wild fruits and our home made desserts. Excellent wine d.o.c. From different areas around marostica is served on request with every dish and finally you can't miss the appreciated guerra liquors containing grappa.

Lovely outdoor seating area only added to the perfect meal. Fresh, homemade, local… some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten, and that's all I eat! My nonna is the only person who makes better pasta. I can't describe it other than to say, its amazing food, made with passion.

Great food, best service, very moderate prices, just the perfect place to have lunch. We enjoyed sitting in the garden.

I read the reviews before going here and have to admit we were not disappointed.
The service is 1st class, super friendly and attentive. The choice of food is very good. May is asparagus season and there were some nice items on the menu.
Overall everything we had was perfect and thecprice is more than reasonable. Paid €25 per head incl a bit of wine.
Thinking about going there again during our trip despite it being a two hour drive from our apartment.
A must go...
Make sure to reserve a table, we were lucky to be seated outside. People that came aftervus were nit as happy...

There are many aspects of visiting Osteria Madonnetta that one could rave about, from the delicious food that is often presented with special tidbits, like pickled vegetables, and the wonderful ambience that makes one feel like they are part of the neighborhood. The owners are very welcoming to guests. The food is always pleasing. The ambience warm and inviting. The after dinner drinks a delight. I highly recommend that you call ahead for a reservation, but even without one, if you are in Marostica, you should stop by and see if they can accommodate you!
