This garden style restaurant is just out of the main town. Popular with locals (probably, partly for that reason) It’s probably best to book ahead as it’s ALWAYS busy. We booked a table outside in the garden, though there are inside tables, the garden area is much more pleasant. The service was friendly and relatively quick considering it’s quite a large restaurant and filled quickly, with some large family groups. The food and wine was very cheap, good quality and quite large portions. It was also local produce, cooked in local style. We both ordered the bread meat balls to start. (The photo on the ‘net had shown 2 on a plate). When it came there were 6 EACH! We could have easily shared. Plus, don’t be fooled into thinking they are meat balls (as we were) They are BREAD balls. There’s NO meat. The tomato sauce they were in, was especially beautiful! We both had pappardelle with porcini for main. Which was lovely. Then we shared a tiramisu, which they happily brought in 2 plates and was EASILY enough for 2! Might be worth spraying yourself with mozzie repellent before you go in. There were quite a few people with kids and there is an area for them to play. But it was annoying that some parents let the kids run about. This said... it’s one of the few places where I did see a waiter tell one kid to go sit down!
