For the first time in my life I didn't enjoy anything in a place. We arrived in the late morning and we paid for the full day (30 euro). The price is not so cheap but the negombo and the poseidon are expensive as well. There is a cable way (funicolare) that colleague the ticket office to the thermal place and it's for free. Arriving to the thermal place we discovered that there is not a single map and the signs are very bad (is not really understandable where are the thermae and where to go). As well we didn't find a single swimming pool less than 30 degrees. That's really strange if you consider that according to the roman traditions it's healthy to alternate hot and cold water. The swimming pool doesn't' look very clean and as well there is a very very bad chlorine smell. The shower cap is not included in the price (3 euro) and it's mandatory. We went to the bar in the pool area and there is not a really good choice of food there, but the price is not so high.
We choose to not go to the beach because of we wanted to explore all the thermal area so we didn't check the beach.
It's reasonable to think before going there, because there are many different spa better than this one.

The trouble with this park is, it's not until you have paid your entrance fee that you find out the price of everything - I could not find a price list anywhere, this included their own website - which kept going to error 404 when attempting to view the cost of treatments & Spa products. Also there were unexpected charges for the compulsory swimming cap 3 euros & the towel 2 euros - ok if you are single but this would work out quite expensive for families with children. I booked a 40 minute circulation massage £40 which was average - I could hear the swimmers general chatter/noise outside the massage room so found it quite hard to relax & chill out. I purposely arrived early morning only to find all the sunbeds were already taken or had a towel left as ownership. The Spa is owned by the Hotel surrounding it so maybe this would explain why it was so crowded. The only positive comment is the thermal pools and sauna were very enjoyable & the view of the sea & surrounding landscaped gardens lovely, although not enough for me to return!

We went in May and despite other reviews there were only about three children there in total - in fact it was very easy to get a sunbed around any of the pools. We walked up from the port - it's only about 15 mins and the spas themselves are really nice. There are loads of them at different temperatures - the 36 degree one was perfect for the day we went - it was little bit cold and no-one was in the unseated pools. Bathing hats are mandatory although you can buy these for 3 euros at the changing rooms - or just wear the shower cap from your hotel as we saw a fair few people doing. There are no lockers but the changing room attendant looks after your bags and coats if you want while you are bathing. Wear sunscreen - we were there for only a couple of hours and despite putting it on twice I still got burned. Damned Viking blood !

Traveled late Sept 2015, perfect weather 80s, walked from hotel to bus terminal by the port, bus crowded with rowdy students, you must know exactly where to get off so ask ask ask, 1 euro one way, a bit disappointed too big and a lot of going up/down you have to really watch your steps, was not that hot thermal water, was not relaxed. Went for one afternoon and did not return. Booked a little costly hotel because of access to Castiglione for free. Stayed 3 nights at a hotel who had a better spa/thermal place inside the hotel.

We stayed a full day, but a half a day is more than enough. As the Spa was a bit dated.Over all we had a great day
