The lack of responsiveness to any and all attempts to address a reservation issue has resulted in my cancelling this booking which is totally non-refundable. Reading some other reviews about this accommodation has validated my concerns. Best not book at all since no one ever responds, and you'll never get a refund. Keep looking elsewhere.

This place is worth a visit. Every room has an exceptional view, no matter if you're facing the church or the sea. The staff are so nice and helpful! The area is adorable, filled with life and culture. The beach is right across the street!

This place is great for a couple - not so much for kids because there is no elevator and you have to climb a long flight of stairs to get to the rooms. I liked that because I got some daily exercise! ;)

We stayed here for 3 nights on our tour of the amalfi, we had to check in at at different hotel in miaori then they bring you by car to villa Isabella

No lift so 72 stairs to walk up and down to and from your room.

The room was very large (number 3) with an amazing sea view, Wi-Fi and a fridge and a large bed which was very comfortable

You are right next to a church but didn't really notice or get woken up by the bells

There are many bars and coffee shops withing a stones throw.

Along with the amazing pastry shop which should be open now as it has moved to the square where you have breakfast.

Breakfast was a let down for 2 people you get a coffee, a croissant, a bread roll & a packet of stale toast each with a choice of jam. That's it no meat or cheese or cereal or fruit or yoghurt.

Apart from this there was no real noise as its on the main road and next to the beach.

€15 for two sun loungers and an umbrella which is paid for at the bar.
Best off buying drinks from the shops as the beach bars charge double if not triple the price you can also take your own food lots of people buying pizza and bring it back to eat.

A lovely place and I would stay again.

We stayed here in peak season, as opposed to other more well known areas of the Amalfi coast. The B&B was still pretty expensive and Minori as a 'town' offers very little.

As for the Villa. We were unaware on arrivals that you are supposed to check in at the Hotel San Fransesco in near by Maiori. But we sat down at the cafe outside and had a very expensive frapp, while the kind waiter phoned the hotel and someone came down to assist us.

I felt a little guilty letting some old man carry my suitcase as the stairs (there are many) up to the rooms are a bit of a nightmare to be honest.

As for the room, we thought we were meant to get one with a sea view, but albeit for a mix up or misunderstanding we didn't end up with that. The room was spacious, but the beds are rock hard, and the tv only had Italian channels, which was no good to us. For most of the week there was some sort of singing festival going on right outside the back of the Villa and it was quite annoying as it was extremely loud - and the music, not good.

As we were travelling down from Rome on an Italian adventure, we had around a week in Amalfi before going onto Sicily, we were dependent on the internet to make hotel reservations and plan and book our travel. But for the duration of the time we were at the 'villa' the internet was not working.

This was incredibly frustrating, and caused undue stress, and led to some amount of boredom, as there wasn't that much to do in the evenings. I wouldn't even call Minori a town, as it has very little - yes the beach is opposite the villa but it isn't the most pleasant. As with much of the Amalifi - it is better to simply look at, than to experience- if that makes sense.

After much complaining to the staff at the Hotel San Francesco in Maiori, they tried but failed to fix the internet. We had booked an extra night in Villa Isabella when leaving Rome, and we asked Lugi from the Hotel San Francesco if we could just check out early, as we weren't enjoying our stay.

Instead he invited us to spend the next day and night in Hotel San Francesco http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g194806-d613963-Reviews-Hotel_San_Francesco-Maiori_Amalfi_Coast_Campania.html and this was much much better.

And I would recommend that you just book there if you are going to the Amalfi coast. Lugi was great and we enjoyed a really nice breakfast there and the room he gave us had a good balcony and great sea view. The tv's there also had some English speaking channels and there is a little more going on in Maiori than Minori, although not a lot.

B&B Villa Isabella

Pros:
Very large room with seaview
Service is good
Good location - beautiful nature
Straight out to the beach (black beach - water not too clean though)

Cons:
Very hard bed and pillows which gave us both an uncomfortable nights sleep
Lots of steep stairs to the rooms (no lift!)
Difficult to contact reception which is based in the next village. The room phone didn't work and we hadn't been given contact details
It was expensive for such a basic room but this is probably due to its excellent location
