We arrived in Fecamp in the early evening and this was the first restaurant we saw. So we went for it. The food was good, the ambience was excellent as this is an older property and there were a lot of locals eating in the restaurant. We ended up having drinks after dinner with a Dutch cargo ship captain and his wife who were sitting at the next table. We spent the night in the hotel. It was clean, comfortable. The staff and owners were all very friendly and accomodating. They helped us get our car safely parked off the street, as we got into town a little late. Both the restaurant and the hotel have character. I would definitely stay there again should I ever return to the area.

Having just travelled from Britanny we decided to break our journey before returning to UK. We had originally intended staying over in Honfleur and although a popular tourist destination, we found it very crowded and expensive. Fecamp however only a few Kms along the coast, proved to be a very good decision after a long drive and the Hotel Normandy offered a very comfortable alternative with helpful and friendly staff. Our double room was basic and very clean with a great walk in shower (room 107) and although at the rear of the hotel, provided a view of the sea and was very quiet. Only downside was it overlooked Mc Donald's but for one night it really didn't worry us. We decided to dine at the hotel and enjoyed an evening meal chosen from an uncomplicated but comprehensive menu. Breakfast comprised a basic but good continental selection offering croissants, fresh coffee, tea and assorted juices. Overall, a very pleasant experience in a typically French hotel with interesting and imaginative decor at a fraction of the price in Honfleur.

Room Tip: The rear of the hotel is quieter, but ask to see different rooms subject to availability of course.

Very friendly, good vibration & food. We stayed 3 nights - 2 adults and 3 kids (5, 7 and 9 years). We will stay again if we're visit Fecamp. Location is good. Rooms clean and ok. Welcoming staff. The restaurant & bar have a grear character.

My boyfriend and I planned a getaway trip to Fecamp. After looking into several hotels, we stumbled upon their website. At the time, they had a very good offer; a package worth of 90 euros per person that included 2 nights, breakfast AND dinner, plus a free ticket to the "Palais Benedictine" (It's a beautiful palace where the "Benedictine" liquor is made).

It's quite humble so don't expect anything luxurious. Nonetheless, the rooms were very clean, the view was beautiful (you could either get the rooms that have the St Etienne cathedral as a view, or the port with the beautiful cliffs behind it). Their service is super friendly and welcoming, I'd give them a thumbs up for that.
The breakfast was ok, it wasn't very diversified though. Dinner however, completely blew us away! We certainly did not expect it to be that good. The portions were large, and it was delicious! It included, a salad, the main dish, a plate of assorted cheeses, dessert, 0.5l of your choice of wine, and an unlimited amount of bread, all of which was included in the package of course.

Honestly, this hotel is excellent for people who don't really care about luxury and just need a clean and affordable place to lay their heads.

We spent a night at the Hotel Normandy whilst travelling from Belgium back down to southern France. Our schedule was tight otherwise we would have stayed another night. It is well located on the hill overlooking the port and we had a room with a view out to the cathedral on the otherside of the street. Not sure about the negative reviews from other TA contributors as we found the hotel very pleasant - good clean room with plenty of space, helpful, friendly staff and a good restaurant.
