We have just returned from a week at the resort and we had an amazing time. Lucky for us it was low season and it was quite quiet. We stayed in a Garden Villa which was awesome and overlooked the villa pool and we could also see the beach.
Accommodation was great, the staff are great and we would recommend this resort to anyone.
We ate in a couple of their restaurants and food was very good. The breakfast buffet was included and it was excellent.
What a great place to have a great rest and enjoy the sea, sun, luxury, etc

Room was big. Bed was super comfy. Water provided and soap. Room service and prices at restaurant and beach area overpriced. Gym is nice. Breakfast good choice but not too much for vegetarians. Pools are great. We had no nice view. So the price was a bit too much. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Room Tip: Beds are amazing! Dvd player at the room.

We had a nice room at the top floor beside the beach. Jacuzzi at the balcony was great. We made reservation from hotels website and got a free minibar for two weeks and that was a really nice surprise.

Great hotel have stayed here several times. However agree with previous comment they need to re-locate the peacock (bird) as it woke me up every morning on my stay at around sunrise, it totally ruined my sleep !

2. Before they had free daily mini bar which was a great deal that made booking with KC Grand a no brainer, now they have removed that deal and offer 10% of food and drink, unfortunately after my next visit to KC in September I will look somewhere else.

3. Free Wifi: They wire connection is poor to average, frequent connection issues, raised it with reception several times over last year but has not improved.

Not sure if this hotel is a member of a Chinese chain, but it sure appears it is. Probably 70% of the people here are Chinese, and alot of the signs at the breakfast buffet were in english and mandarin. This hotel is overpriced for what it has to offer.
The hotel was probably very nice in its day, but appears a little run down. We paid for an ocean view room, and although it faced the ocean, the view was obstructed by numerous overgrown palm trees. Multiple locations throughout the grounds required repair or cleaning, but the room was not too bad. The bed was comfortable, AC and mini fridge worked well. Breakfast was ok, but just as in China, there is no such thing as waiting in line.
The maid service was fantastic. Room service was okay. Don't expect to find ice to fill the ice bucket in your room, it cost 50 Baht. The food at the hotel was not great. Even the Thai food was somewhat bland. The hotel restaurants were almost empty in the evening, so we never tried eating there for anything but breakfast.
The pool bars were okay. The staff took their time and made decent drinks. The pools were clean and did not smell of chemicals. The beach was fantastic, very flat and extended a long distance into the sea. The seas were rough during our stay, so no real beach activities were available.
The spa is overpriced, but the service is better than those massages available along the street in town.
One last thing. There is a peacock that hangs out around the hotel. He apparrently roosts just in front of the rooms we stayed in. Some mornings he was at the restaurant getting fed. This thing is OBNOXIOUS!! It woke us up every morning at sunrise, and even sqwauked in the middle of the night quite often. The staff seemed to encourage his sticking around, but if it was up to us, this bird would have been relocated. It made rest hard to get, and detracted from our vacation.

Room Tip: Hard to justify paying for a sea view room with the overgrown trees.
