Klong kloi is an interesting little beach just starting to develop but it's still sand tracks mainly for now. Klong kloi cottage is very "central" The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly. It's a good place for kids to run, and has lovely ambience at nighttime..restaurant food was ok, rooms a little sparse for the price...Hardest beds ever...we didn't stay too long and the beach wasn't as easy for swimming but great for young children as very little wavesn super shallow quite far out...taxi out of klong kloi wasn't always easy and we walked to bang bao a lot along the roadside which was a bit dodgy and hot..it's a refreshing break from the more developed beaches..

The best place to stay, on a clean beach walking Distance to bangbao pier. Family owned with affordable cottages, and an affordable and tasty restaurant on site. Really, really great place, wifi in cottages, water provided each day, book swap, owner speaks great english and has good ideas for things to do. Cottages had mosquito nets but the great breeze off the water kept most away. Hammocks and deck chairs on the beach and trees for shade.

We had a basic room and it was a little basic/cramped for two with back packs. Other wise a good, cute little 'beach hut'
Friendly helpful staff :)
The area is lovely, and quiet. Everyone's heads in Klong Klois heads turned as we arrived, but they welcomed us very warmly!

This is not a luxury resort by any means but it does provide good basic accommodation right on a beautiful beach. The host, Mayuree, speaks good English and is delightful. Staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves very good food - in fact many from neighbouring hotels come to eat there. Swimming is good right in front of the resort. There are kayaks for rent if you want them. There is a massage place next door that does good Thai massages. It is about a 10 minute walk into the little pier village of Bang Bao, or you can easily rent a motor scooter for about $6 per day. Our cabin was small and a little cramped, but clean and quiet. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no daily maid service so you need to clean up for yourself. But the prices are very reasonable and you get what you pay for. We spent a lovely week there and went diving six times with BB Divers. Great beach break!

This beach is at the opposite side of the island, almost at the end of the road, so quite hard to reach but once you're there you just don't want to leave! And it's definitely more peaceful than other crowdy beaches in Ko Chang.
The Klong Kloi Cottage offers nice bungalows with hot shower but mostly an amazing view on the sand beach. You just rest in your hammock, order a mojito, eat some nice food, have a swim, and start again...
The owners were very nice! (banana shake was delicious there)
