“Lovely setting, beautiful resort, great food - perfect for a relaxed weekend getaway”
Reviewed 4 January 2012

We (a group of six friends) spent a night at the Rishikesh Valley resort, and left feeling bad that we couldn't stay longer. To enjoy the resort to the fullest, one must spend at least two days there.

To reach the resort, one has to take a cut 4 kms from Lakshman Jhula on the right, cross a bridge, take left, and then move 6 more kms. The road leaves the Ganga and enters a new valley through which a tributary of the Ganga runs. A sign on the left welcomes you to Rishikesh Valley resort. Cars/ bikes have to be parked on the side of the road from where it is a 2 minute downward walk to the resort.

Set in a garden type setting with a mud path in the middle and 9 cottages made of bamboo on either side, the rustic feeling of the place is its USP. Lovely flowers and plants give the place a very calming effect. There is an outdoor dining area, a very cheery sitting area and place for bonfire. There's also a badminton net, a hammock and a machan which we especially loved. The resort is surrounded with fields and one can hear the river gushing in the distance.

The cottages themselves are basic but very comfortable with brightly coloured interiors and an attached bathroom. Though the place is vegetarian, the food is beyond awesome and the tea is so good that we must have drowned at least 5 cups per head during our short stay there.

The resort's calm and serene atmosphere together with Anand and Subudhi's great hospitality make a repeat visit a must.

Rishikesh Valley is a really beautiful place to stay very near to Rishikesh. And the owner family of Rishikesh Valley Mr. Anand, Subudhi including their Mother and Father know the real meaning of hospitality. Best part of the place is food (vegetrain) cocked by their cocks. Location is awesome surrounded by Ganga River, Mountains & 2 Water-Falls. We (Ankur & Asma) wish wishes to Anand and Subudhi and love to little doll Adhaya. I was our wonderful stay there.

Room Tip: Just any of them.

Rishikesh vally is a real paradise in north India. The owner of Rishikesh vally Mr. Anand & subudhi know the real meaning of hospitality & the best part of the tour were food (vegetrain) & location of the property which is just 50 meter away from tributry river of The Ganga. (Nani ganga), surrounded by mountains & water-fall too. Its was a break or recharge dose for me from day to day life. Rishikesh Valley is highly recommended for those tourists who want to take a step beyond the regular city comfort.

Our haven for the visit to Rishikesh was Rishikesh Valley Resort, located 10km from Laxman Jhula. In the lap of nature, resides this beautiful, all natural-material made abode that does the detoxifying effect to your soul. The lush green hills around and the Ganga flowing right outside the resort makes it a perfect getaway for the souls who appreciate and cherish a natural-non-luxury-serene-tranquil place. Ours was a typical mud hut with basic but very clean and comfortable amenities. Living in such places shows how much does one respect and love god's gift of nature.
Surrounded with lush greens, beautifully maintained garden and able to enjoy the fruits of nature right from its lap... is inexplicable. It’s an experience in itself.
I dearly want to Thank Anand and Subudhi for making our stay so comfortable and so memorable. The food was excellent and so delicious. I haven't had such good vegetarian food in years. The long bonfire session just added to the fun during chilly winter evening. I am definitely returning to Rishikesh very soon.

Room Tip: All rooms are equally and wonderfully comfortable. Incase you are travelling with an aged family mem...
