Cruising through the area on a motorcycle vacation, our gang of eight needed to stop for fuel. After filling our tanks, we looked around for a place to eat and on the side of the gas station was Hull's Hideaway. It looks to be a house that was restored into a restaurant. They serve local beer and have good prices with many specials. When you enter, there's a salad bar station to the left.
The place is frequented by many locals---- true folksy folks. Very nice and friendly. The service for 8 of us was outstanding. The food was good. Some things were better than others. The seasoned fries were a bit overdone. The place was so memorable, we stopped again a few days later before heading home.
The first day, I had the pulled pork sandwich. Barbecue pulled pork served on a hamburger roll. Not too bad. The second time, I had the grilled veggie wrap. That was very tasty and filling. They offer this as a full sub, half sub or wrap.
We left a big tip as eight of us chipped in more than our share. I believe they take credit cards but we were all about the cash. Rest rooms for one are clean.
AT&T doesn't have cell service here, but the restaurant does have free wifi which is how I was able to check in. The second visit, we had to try the pizza. Being from Jersey, we know what pizza is. They do make a descent pizza. Very cheesy, but the crust was very spongy. I would still recommend it since they do make it fresh.
