We parked outside the the Sweet Treats Bakery while visiting then Stonewall Jackson House in Lexington, After our visit we had lunch at Sweet Treats. Everything was wonderful. We shared several bakery items with my fellow travelers, The Berry tart was one of the best I have ever had. When I get back to Lexington, I will go there again!

After a disatrous meal at the Red Hen we came here for dessert.
Heavenly. Do try for yourself!
Nice selection of cakes, some bijou cupcakes and fudge brownies. Amazing coffee!

If you want to spend over $10 for breakfast & coffee and walk out still hungry this place is for you. One slice of toast (how cheap is that?), home fries are 6-7 small cubes of potatoes, 2 under cooked rubbery bacon strips and 2 store bought not fresh eggs with an average coffee all for about ten bucks. Then you can walk out hungry and go get a real breakfast somewhere else.

Just meaning to pass through Lexington on a Saturday morning, stopped on Washington Street, thrilled with the shop windows with Art and local crafts and was charmed by a sign outside sweets and treats – my Australian Shepherd and I went in. Local people chatted with us and told us all the things to see that day in Lexington, visiting dressage rider’s chatted with us about the horse show that day, The gentleman who I believe is the owner chatted with us and made us feel welcome. What a great place! We got coffee and lunch for the road of vegetarian burgers on gluten-free bread. Absolutely terrific. Will definitely be coming to this small town again! And when we’re here, sweets and treats will be our go to.

Stopped for a quick breakfast on our road trip. Husband declared the danish the best he's ever had. Breakfast croissant sandwich was huge and delicious. Highly recommend.
