Davis street pier has been through ( what appears to be ) a transition for the better! Good craft beer selection, good crab-legs, and fried seafood of all varieties...

We have been there a handful of times. Every time the food has been really good. The only thing we have gotten that we didn't care for was the crab/shrimp dip, it wasn't horrible, we just wouldn't get it again. The fried shrimp are large and a good portion, lightly breaded, which we like. The fish and chips and fried catfish were excellent. The cajun shrimp pasta was delicious, but the portion could have been a little larger. Even the pork BBQ sandwich was really good. The wait staff has always been friendly and inviting.

Stopped by for a lite dinner after getting off the train from D.C. Disappointed with quality of the food. And the wine left a lot to be desired
Reasonable prices but no desire to go back.

Their fried oysters, crabcakes & shrimp are delicious! Service can be slow so don't get in any hurry, but the times we've eaten here the wait staff and owner/cook are friendly and the food is very tasty. They have craft beer on-tap and well-made Margaritas! They also offer musical entertainment from local musicians (Magicians, according to Tommi Reynolds) though we've never stayed for that part. Seating is good for couples, families and groups, there is ample parking and their location is great! Park, eat and afterwards stroll through the main hub of Culpeper on E. Davis Street.

We were here as a large family group, 10 of us. The drinks came out quickly but the food took a long time (30-40 minutes) to arrive and some of us were served a good 10 minutes before others. And, the young woman waiting on us seemed unconcerned and did not let us know what was going on...I think, if she had, it would have gone a long way to improving our experience. It was not as though the place was overrun with customers. And, I had to ask her twice for sauce that was supposed to on the sandwich I ordered. Overall, everyone enjoyed their food and the portions were certainly generous. The fried green tomatoes were no green which was a little disappointing. I gave this restaurant and average rating due to the service and the food coming out all at random times.
