If you've spent anytime in Culpeper you've probably already eaten here. It's basically a roadside stand which has been here forever. A small parking lot, but quick service....mostly carry-out, but there are a couple of picnic tables outside.

I just wish it was open on Sunday and had some extended hours. Other than that no complaints. Food is good and the prices are right.

I was enticed by the diner look and was hoping to take my kids back in time to great food with a neighborhood experience. What we got was mediocre food, flies, and exhaust.

The service was slow and we were the only ones there. The outside tables (that is all they have) were dirty. The flies were relentless. And, the exhaust from passing traffic was the overwhelming odor.

I am sorry to say that beyond the motif, there was nothing remarkable about Baby Jim's Snack Bar. I detest McDonald's food but would rather eat there than return to Baby Jim's.

Family-owned and operated, Baby Jims does not disappoint! If I was in Culpeper I would eat Baby Jim's several times a week. They serve breakfast very early (4:30am) and only stay open until the afternoon. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the owners and managers are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

If you are looking for fine dining and tables, this is not the place for you. However, if you want good old-fashioned egg and bacon sandwich wrapped in wax paper that you can eat outside at one of the picnic tables, you can't go wrong! Baby Jims has been dishing out burgers and fried food for over 60 years. An absolute classic.
