The Inn is a beautiful B&B not too far from Charlottesville. The room and the scenery were both gorgeous. The food was terrific. The innkeepers were very generous and accommodating. It's the type of person-to-person customer service and dedication you don't see much anymore. Both hiking and wineries very close by.

Beautiful land and rooms. We were the only guest for the first night so we were upgraded to a suite. Breakfast every morning was fabulous. Tim knows how bacon should be cooked. I look forward to a return visit.

The Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm is a quaint, well-appointed little place out in the country, but not too far from Charlottesville (about 30 minutes by car) and there is a little bedroom community of Crozet about 15 minutes away for good lunches/dinners. We stayed in the Wildflower room at the Inn, which has a gorgeous bay window view of the fields and woods. Breakfast was very tasty, and the Inn has lots of patio and inside spaces to sit and read/relax. If you want something away from it all, this is definitely a wonderful option, and not so far that you feel trapped. Note: no cell service, but good wifi at the Inn.

We loved our stay at the Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm. We booked our two night stay one day before and all went so smoothly. We had our small dog with us so we stayed in the Farmhouse in the Hummingbird room. The inn is pet friendly in the farmhouse only... no pet fees! which is unusual but MUCH appreciated. No breed restrictions either.
We love rural settings and farm life so we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The room was comfortable and clean and the bed was amazing. Internet was perfect but Tim said it had been improved recently so disregard what the previous reviewers said about the internet.
We had a few bugs in our room, ladybugs, but I know that is unavoidable in the country so it didn't bother me at all. Just full disclosure, but it really was just a few.
We drove down to the park about 2 minutes away and hiked one day.... several nice trails there and one can go all the way up to the AT and down.. 18 mile hike. But there are some very easy hikes too for beginners. Wearing the right shoes is key as there are several stream crossings. Read about the trails on the NP site.
We loved the breakfast both days. Good solid food. My only recommendation to the owners would be maybe to use warming dishes or a warming plate if people prefer to eat later so the food won't be cold. We were there at 9 sharp everyday as I abhor cold food!
There are some nice places to eat in Crozet, the Rooftop, Fardowners and Smoke. Also, the Greenwood grocery has amazing wine and beer offerings and also, takeout food. Lots of wineries nearby to taste, King family, White Hall, and Grace to name a few. We drove up to the Blue Ridge our last day to hike up to humpback rocks.
We hope to go back to the Inn soon. Thanks, Tim and Dina for your hospitality and hard work.

Room Tip: If you have a. pet you will be in the farmhouse. otherwise you can book in the main house.

This place is so quiet and peaceful and is great for getting a good night's sleep. We were greeted by Tim who took the time to chat to us and show us the communal downstairs area which looked lovely and cozy - especially on a cold winter's night. He also gave us a map of the local area and recommended some nice restaurants and bars. We were staying in the other little farm house which only had 4 rooms I think. You drive out on to the 'main' lane (quiet country lane with literally no traffic) and along to the next drive way. Our room was really nice and cozy. The bed was super comfy also.
There are a couple of small things that I would say. It would be great to have some bottles of water in the room. We forgot to buy some on our way back from town and it's too far to be bothered to go back (that is our fault though as we forgot but it would be nice to have some water anyway). Tim had said that breakfast would be from 9am - we ended up getting there at about 0945 and a lot of the food had gone and wasn't that hot (again, our fault really as we should have gone to breakfast earlier). I would recommend getting to breakfast bang on time!
Overall a really lovely stay if you are hiking in Shenandoah.
I would also recommend driving about a mile left on the main lane as there is a lovely reservoir and nice walk.

Room Tip: Getting a room in the main house is probably more convenient
