From the moment you step into The Channel Bass Inn, it feels as though you are visiting your family. The spacious home has a lovely homely feel from the first glance and the welcome is wonderful. Barb and David truely make their guests feel special. I was greeted with a hug immediately when I stepped through the door. Our room was excellent and it was only second to the vivid flowers which bloomed in the tea garden. In the mornings at nine o'clock we were greeted and served several courses of fresh fruit, juices and homemade delicacies. Barb brings warmth and tradition to her table in the afternoons with tea and treats. But don't be fooled, expect more than tea and cookies. We had freshly baked scones, filled with fresh ginger and raisins shipped from far away exotic places. They were followed with the most amazing meringues . The food was heavenly...
David and Barb truely love what they do and it shines through. They are more than helpful. Barb arranged a reservation for us at a local resturant that was scruptous and they both were ready to explain the local attractions if we had any questions. They made our anniversary so special and we will be going back again. I didn't want to leave.
