“Great Rental, Out of the Way”
Reviewed 18 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

This was the perfect rental for our party. We had three couples and 4 kids. There are three beds, all queen, and the loft has four twins. The kids loved being in the loft, 'their place' as they called it. We had a blast crabbing off the dock behind the house, and enjoyed the open floor plan. The rental is located about a mile or two outside of town and Maddox, so it was mostly quiet. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was that the living room furniture is screaming for an upgrade.

“Very good hard to find pet friendly rental.”
Reviewed 1 September 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Nice quiet location. Home was clean and spacious however a little limited for eight with only two bathrooms. The kids did some successful crabbing from the bulkhead. We brought a canoe and had a bit of a hard time getting in/out since the bulkhead ladder was broken. However, once in, the paddle area was beautiful, peaceful and calm. We have been going to Chincoteague for 35 years would definitely return if "pet friendly" was needed.

“Nice modern ammenities in suburban setting”

We've stayed at a few places on Chincoteague. We picked this one because we needed a house that could fit 2 families (9 people). Fairly recent construction with some nice amenities like an elevated screen porch (good for catching the evening breeze and avoiding the bugs), modern kitchen, open floor plan and a loft that provides one big bedroom for the kids (5 small beds) to have their own space. Also a shallow canal running behind the house where the kids can have fun catching crabs or you can take off into the inner bay on your kayaks or boat. Missing a bit of that 'island vacation' vibe because you're surrounded by what is essentially a suburban neighborhood. About 1.5 miles into town by car, about 2.5 to the gate of Assateague Island National Seashore. Definitely some better values around Chincoteague for what you're paying to rent this property, and most definitely some more atmospheric ones, but you could also do a lot worse.
