I would agree with the most recent reviews just prior to this one. We had a very pleasant stay here. I would not describe the rooms as large but certainly adequate for a couple. A superior with two queen beds might be a little tight for a family of four or more though. We found the beds and pillows to be very comfortable and the rooms and bathroom quite clean. In fact it looked like a fairly recent new tile job in the bathroom. There was always a fire in the fireplace when we were there and the continental breakfast was always very well-stocked. The lobby is a nice cozy spot to do some quiet reading. As far as storage space for skis it always boggles my mind to see people bringing skis into a building? (They probably ski in jeans too) Leave them in your car or lock them up in the ski rack. For the price you pay for this place it's a great value. And no question the shuttle drivers and the shuttle services are remarkable!

We just stayed here for 4 nights Monday-Friday...honestly we had a great stay!!

We did read other reviews before we came and were a little concerned but were pleasantly surprised!

The rooms are large and have been remodelled, comfortable bed, but would suggest and upper floor as people above us seemed like insomniac tap dancers!!! Lol!

There are stairs and no elevator but if someone is above you, you will need earplugs if they move around a lot!

Staff were friendly and kept the property very clean especially in the breakfast area!

Great continental breakfast is included and it was well stocked at all times and replenished often. There was tea, coffee, juice, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, three different types of bagels, raisin toast, bread, muffins and pastries. If you can not fill up on that bring a package of oatmeal and enjoy what they offer.

Honestly our experience at Black Bear and Stratton was great... third time here and well worth it! Oh and Free shuttle to ski hill is a great bonus!

We will be back!!!

Stayed 3 nights, Wed-Fri.
Not luxiourious by any means. Bed was Ok, shower was good and bathroom was clean.

They never vacuumed the floor in the room. The WIFI was not secure and never seemed to work.

Bar was nice as was restaurant. Breakfast was ok. For some reason there was no fire in the lobby fireplace which seemed odd as we had 26 inches of snow and one would assume fire would be going.

Shuttle to mountain and village was great.

Walls are thin and there was noise but not ridiculous.

I would stay there again.

Please do not stay here. Despite our love for skiing we need to let the owners of hotels like this that bad accommodations are not acceptable!!

The rooms are small and there is not enough space for your cloths and gear. There should be ski lockers for equipment but there are none. The beds are uncomfortable and are TV didn’t work for 2 days during our stay.

There is a spa but that is probably the scariest place here. They attempted to add some plants to spruce it up, but that doesn’t remove the smell, rust and general filth of the entire lower level. There are more broken games in the game room then games that work.

On a good note the shuttle did run on time.
