This is a hard review to write, why?-
-- Well. if it's Mon thru Wed- you are up at the mountain and regardless day or night, you're a captive audience - meaning your only choice is Mulligan's or go home.
-- if Thurs thru Sun, you have additional choices: Benedicts (Breakfast or Lunch) & Fire Tower (Dinner), Verde (very upscale$$$).
If your traveling along Rte 30, you are NOT going to drive 12mi up the mtn access road. ((Of course, if a sunny day and Sat or Sun, the Stratton Gondola is operating - so it (cheap $.))
Would you drive here from Manchester or Brattleboro (both half hour away).
All the written - Mulligans at Stratton is a nice oasis. Several time time, over several weeks, always greeted happily, whether seats inside or outside seated nicely, never had a bad meal. See photos as their representative.
Soup (Mulligan Chowder) at $10 was expensive but appetizers, salads, entrees no. More then ample portions. A doggy bag may not be an option for you so order light or leave remaining.
As a sample of what we had - lobster & avocado salad, salmon ginger entree, ribs, Vermonter hamburger, black bean veggie burger, Mahi Tacos, chicken parmsean.
All comfort foods. Tasty & the plate was nicely arranged.
Comfortable eatery (what ever the reason you're up here.)
