What a perfect base for our romantic getaway

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 29 Mar 2018via mobile
We chose this boutique hotel for our first trip to Vermont. The staff was amazing, from the front desk to the bartender in Picnic Social, wonderful people the lot of them. We were awestruck when we saw our room. It was gorgeous. We were a short walk from the shops in town. There’s a great grocery shop across the street and an awesome charcuterie place to, we brought some back to our room. Every morning there was a beautiful breakfast basket, so fresh and cute. So cozy. Cannot wait to get back ASAP!

Family of five adults and one infant took two adjoining rooms for a long weekend. Upside surprises abounded. Friendly check-in where they give you an iPad with all the local info on it. Comfortable and clean rooms with fireplaces and comfy beds. The breakfast-at-your-door with fresh coffee down the hall in the morning was terrific and make the morning routine very simple. Nice outdoor hot tub for apres ski. Walk to dinner nearby and terrific food at Picnic Social, especially for Sunday brunch. Part of the Lark Hotels group and definitely returning next season.

We love to hear that you all enjoyed such a fun family ski weekend with us in Stowe --it's certainly been a good time to visit with all of the fresh snow! We're so glad you found the rooms to be comfortable and clean, enjoyed the daily breakfast baskets, as well as the cozy hot tub for aprés ski. Love that you took advantage of our great onsite restaurant and we're looking forward to seeing you all again next season!

I have stayed at Lark hotels before and they are all nothing but wonderful experiences. Everything from the guest check in, to decor, food, and service. I pay close attention to detail when staying at boutique hotels and I am always satisfied with this choice. I highly recommend to anyone and I will absolutely be returning.

Lark hotel in Stowe is close to the mountain and other actives. Even just hanging in the hotel is relaxing with the hot tub and lobby and constant coffee or beer flow. We went to smugglers instead of Stowe to snowboard bc the cost is dramatically different.

I was so blown away by how wonderful this hotel stay was. The beds were the most comfortable thing in the world. The hot tub was a great way to relax in the afternoon. From the bar staff to check in and everyone in between that we ran into was so nice and professional. I am already looking forward to a return stay.

Aren't the beds just the best? We get so many compliments from guests on how cozy and comfortable the bed and lines are! It certainly sounds like you enjoyed all aspects of your stay from the relaxing hot tub to the friendly and professional staff and we're already looking forward to your return.

Overall I really enjoyed our stay. The staff was great, I loved the aesthetics, hot tub and location were great and the soaps and lotions smelled fantastic. BUT....it was LOUD! Our room was above the bar. The dull sound of the music was continuous. On Saturday night there was a very loud patron in the lobby downstairs and he kept us up until about 10:30. I know it was Saturday and we went to bed kind of early but it was very loud. I asked about it the next day and the person at the desk was very nice and gave us a coupon for free drinks and said that Sunday would be quieter. It definitely was. I don't know that I could convince my boyfriend to go back. Like I said, I loved most of the stay, it was just the sound.

Room tip: I'd request a room away from the bar area.

We're definitely disappointed that the sound was such a factor during your stay --we can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when you're trying to relax but we're so glad that our staff was able to remedy the situation as much they could! It's great that you enjoyed our hotel's aesthetics and the location, as well as the various amenities including the LATHER products and the cozy hot tub. We hope you'll come see us again for what we hope to be a much quieter stay.
