Echt Vermont - friendly, healthy, lovely service and shelves of used books to peruse while you stop for a sandwich or breakfast or snack. Initial vision of heavy, pale, underbaked looking croissants was redeemed by poached eggs served over lovely sautéed vegetables. Excellent coffee.

We spent a bit of an afternoon here--looking at needed objects, browsing books, and enjoying bakery food! It's pure Vermont and worth a stop!

Sandy's baking is top noch. The bagels are so tasty and make for a great breakfast sandwich. The lunch options are a little different for me, they have vegetarian, vegan, local options that are just not my cup of tea.

This was a interesting place to have lunch and do a little used book shopping at the same time. The menu was varied as was the book selection. The service was good.

We came across this by pure luck. It's a truly fabulous destination whilst driving along the scenic Vermont Route 100, pure relaxation and refreshment. What a stunning place from the outside alone, inside there are books all over the place in rooms named after places from the Lord of the Rings.

At the back is a delicious bakery with scones, sandwiches, gorgeous ginger molasses cookies, to name one variety, and pies, wow. 5 stars. The coffee is organic, local and excellent and the atmosphere so warming, yet energetic; all those beautiful books, each and every one could change a life....

The smell of books and baked goodies and coffee = heaven for me. Plus welcoming staff and calm and friendly customers, couldn't be more me. They also sold beautiful notebooks, leather bound and oh, I had one in my hand, on the table and then forgot to buy it!
