Our family has been renting this very flexible house for a week or two each summer so long that the grandchildren think we own it. All three grandkids once slept in the "cave" while mom and dad slept in the master bedroom with attached deck for star gazing. Grandparents were downstairs with their own private one bedroom unit. Over time mom and dad have taken to the privacy downstairs, the girls (11 and 14) have spread out to the loft (once the special space for the spry auntie) and an alcove couch, while the boy (9) still loves the cave! Grandparents now have the master with desk and deck! Saw the "Super Moon" from there last summer. And the pancake breakfasts in the convenient kitchen, walks to the lake, berry picking, local hiking and browsing in quilt shops and book stores of nearby towns bring us back each year. I highly recommend this rental in the beautiful Vermont woods for summer holidays.
Liked best:
Being completely in the green Vermont woods.
Liked least:
Sometimes the lack of insulation between the two units means you have to keep the kids quiet.
