“Surround Yourself With Mother Nature At Its Best - Heavenly!”

Owner was very friendly and accommodating.

It was our first time to Vermont - it is a gorgeous state and it was a wonderful trip.

Apartment was clean and well maintained.

The grounds are spectacular and breathtaking. It was awesome hearing the waterfall at all times no matter where you were on the property inside or out. I found the sound relaxing.

She keeps the property well cared for and her flowers are spectacular. It is quiet and peaceful. I was not aware before arriving that Dawn actually lives on site - she lives downstairs and rents out the top floor - the apartment.

I am a mountain person, nature person and garden person so I was in my glory. I was happy just to relax on the 75 acres of woods, streams, waterfalls, flowers, foliage, gardens, etc. We had our dog with us and he had a blast. We would definitely go again and rent the same space.

The mountain road was busier with traffic than I expected it to be. There are no street lights and so we had no desire to even attempt to go out at night on those mountain roads.

We were unable to use the washer and dryer when we were there and that was a little disappointing and there is a lot of air in the pipes so whenever you turned the kitchen or bathroom sink on it spit and made a lot of noise and that took some getting used to.

There is no air conditioning but a wonderful breeze was usually coming through the windows and it got pretty cool at night and that made for great sleeping.

My cell phone reception was pretty much non-existent (T-Mobile) but my husband's was much better (Verizon). The Satellite Dish for the TV went in and out when the wind really kicked up and when it rained. Other than that, no complaints.

Thanks Dawn for being a wonderful hostess.

Liked best: Hearing the waterfall at all times and the beauty and tranquility of the property.
Liked least: Not being able to use the washer and dryer and the air in the water pipes.

I just want to respond about the water situation. There is air in the lines.
The well repair man had just been here and replaced the check valve at the pump site. That did not solve the problem and they are coming back next week to hopefully solve this mystery!
About the washer / dryer, although the appliances are located in the apartment kitchen, I do NOT include "washer / dryer" as an amenity for guests in the rental listing. The septic and well system just can not handle extra use. I do supply locations of launder mats available in town!

“Beautiful Property; Peaceful Setting”
Reviewed 23 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

I'm reticent to review places because taste is so subjective. But this is a wonderful place in the middle of a breathtaking part of the world. Dawn is so friendly and attentive. There was a problem with the plumbing (the well went dry) but Dawn was apologetic and sympathetic to the situation. If you're looking for a quiet cottage in the woods, I think you'll love this place.

Thank you, Howard & Susan, for choosing Three Covered Bridges, and for being so understanding of the water situation. (I'd like to say here that the well recharged overnight and all was well. While it's flooding elsewhere, Vermont has been extremely dry!).
Friendly and considerate, Howard & Susan were perfect guests and are welcome back anytime.

“wonderful base for having fun outdoors or exploring Vermont”
Reviewed 27 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

I spent a week at Three Covered Bridges with my partner and mother, and we were all very happy with our decision to stay there. The apartment is comfortable and well furnished and really feels like a home, and there are lots of attractive places to walk and sit on the large, beautiful property. The owner, Dawn, is friendly and helpful while respecting her guests' privacy. The Mad River Valley is a beautiful area and makes a great base for day trips to many interesting places in Vermont.
