Close to the heart of Montpelier, this heavily wooded park is a great place to burn a little energy climbing through the forest. Excellent to visit both in the summer or winter. Easy to moderate trails can be hiked in any comfortable shoes. Free and open to the public

Walking in Hubbard Park provides a great workout, because it's on a huge hill. The paths are heavily wooded and private.

We passed through. Wanted to find a playground to stretch our legs. No playground but cool trails and a nice grassy area. We would love to come back and see more one day.

To access the observation tower, you can climb for 30 minutes behind the capitol building, or drive up and walk less than 10 minutes on a gently sloping trail. After climbing almost 70 steps, the views from the top of the tower were disappointing because the hills were mostly obscured by mature trees.
