This is a really nice property and extremely convenient if you are visiting Middlebury College. We were attending a sports event -- as were many of the guests, either athletes or parents. (N.B., worth asking to see if there are special rates for the collage and events at the college).

The hotel is modern, well-kept and extremely comfortable.

One note is that the Marriott Platinum benefit consists of $1.95 discount (one time) at the lobby Starbucks. Not particularly generous by comparison to other elite benefits, but nice added benefit.

Would definitely return to this hotel on any future stay in Middlebury.

I was upgraded to a Jr Suite as a result of being a Platinum. The street noise from trucks passing by started very early and not good. The furniture was aged and worn. The roof was being replaced created a lot of noise late into the day and early morning. Room had no shampoo, housekeeper explained that she had been off the day before and whoever cleaned the room did not do the job properly. Overall, I would not stay at this property again.

I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay with us. The housekeeper saying she was off the day before is certainly no excuse, we do have others that cover the rooms. Again I apologize for the construction efforts going around the property, I do hope you will give us another try once everything is completed.

This may be the only "chain" property in the area, but the exterior blends w/the New England landscape. We visited to "leaf-peep" & explore the area. I was upgraded to a Jr Suite, which was spacious (550 sg ft), but a poor layout/use of space. The king bdrm has a small armoire/dresser combo; where I found the hairdryer, iron, ironing board, luggage rack & safe cramped into a space no more that 3-ft. wide. However, there are 2 large windows & a separate HVAC unit. The lvgrm was in need of a "facelift." The sofa & furniture showed signs of wear. On the flip side, all areas (inc. bathroom) were neat & clean. Kudos to housekeeping! Amenities include a pool, fitness center, business desk and some rooms w/fireplace. Finally, all staff were friendly & accommodating, esp. early a.m. in The Bistro. I would stay here again, but hope room renovations are planned soon.

Room tip: Top floor on the rear side of bldg. to avoid a.m. street noise

We stayed one night while in Middlebury visiting our daughter while en route to Jay Peak for her wedding. The hotel was convenient and clean. We didn't hear road noise at all, and once we figured out how to shut off the HVAC fan, the room was quiet. The front desk staff were very friendly and warm and did all they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel now has a nice small restaurant and bar area where you can have a drink and food, as well as the Marriott breakfast. I recommend it as a place to stay in Middlebury.

The staff was very helpful and friendly with good suggestions and directions for restaurants and sights. The hotel was very clean, room was comfortable and bathroom large with a great shower. The restaurant offered a good breakfast and Starbucks coffee. The exterior and parking lot was well lit with a drug store next door. Very convenient location.
