While visiting Montreal I took the opportunity to go skiing in Jay Peak. Best decision ever! Slopes are nice, snow was great and I really enjoyed the Jay Peak vibe!

Mother Nature undoubtedly played a hand in Jay Peak being 100% open late March/early April, but give this resort a thumbs up for it's snow making capacity during other parts of the season and the excellent groomers still hard at work early April for keeping the conditions awesome. The mountain is gorgeous, with tremendous views from the peak. Variety of terrain, and multiple lift options made all the skiers in our group happy. Apres ski featured the Pump House and both kids and adults had a great time. Word of advice, hang on to your inner tube for the lazy river and the water slides. Movies and rock climbing wall and arcade provide other options for the family. Tower Bar was our go to for some adult beverage apres ski. Plenty of access to multiple food options and general store and you don't need to leave the resort for your stay. We will undoubtedly go back.

So read completely. Here is the fine print for Jay Peak for Canadians. This is a great resort for spring skiing or a week end of fun.! For Canadians, all the ads say C$ at par.... WRONG! Only the hotels are. To get hotels at par you need actual CASH. Not cards. Canadian Cash is accepted everywhere as advertised but only hotels at par. Every restaurant or activity is at the exchange rate.
Ads misleading $canadian at par.

Further ... Eats
Rules for eating Jay Peak resort.
1. Never eat at Howie’s
2. Alice is good
3. The Foundry flatbread is excellent.
Any flatbread order is worth it. Joe cooks while Michael serves. Worth the max tip.

Skiing is good all over but Stateside is more for more advanced while beginners on the Tram side.

After two weekend trips I'll say that it is hit or miss in term of weather (OK, it is New England) and condominium. Tramhouse lodge apartments (built in 2016/17??) I will call high end. New Timberline Cottages (built in 2017) are clean and fine, but basic.

To stay on-site is beneficial if you can walk to the slopes (like Tramhouse lodge), if not off-site is just as good.

See pictures of newly constructed Timberline Cottages. They forgot a door between the bedroom and the living room. That is not very private, not ideal in case someone (is sick or so and) wants to nap.
