We stayed two nights. Lovely accommodations - good size room, king bed, great desk staff and convenient location. Would stay there again. Wish we had a fire place! But all in all great value and lovely place to stay. Had a wonderful dinner close by in the foothills.

Small but sufficient sized, clean rooms. Nice mattress. Pleasant desk staff. Very nice experience for a cabin stay. I would stay there again, readily, for the room. The town is another question. Tropic is small and the one dining option that was open in mid-March was really bad. Might be better to bring food w/ you for dinner and b'fast, before you go into Bryce Canyon visit.

Excellent place to stay. Close to the canyon, spotless clean and very friendly service. There’s a great pizzeria on the corner (not sure if the owners are the same) where we can have dinner after a great day exploring the region.

We visited an array of National Parks in October '17. I would look to book a room 24 hrs in advance, as when we are on a driving trip, we are totally mesmerized by the beauty of an area, and never know where we'll be too far ahead of time. However, that proved a bit challenging for that time period-we thought it to be "shoulder season," but have found that "season" really no longer exists! So, all the cabins were full, but there was a room in a separate building, next door, that was advertised as "very small." I was a bit hesitant, but booked it nevertheless, as several other places were full as well. We arrived late, but were able to call the desk from the town of Escalante, and she went over and turned the heat and the lights on for us. We entered this "very small" room and to our surprise it was not that small at all! Plenty of room to place our luggage and have room to move around. The room was spotless, the bed was comfy, and it's only 12 or so miles from Bryce Canyon. In the daylight, the town of Tropic is very small, but does have several places to stay.In spite of this, due to their enviable location, they are frequently booked solid.
