Spent a wonderful week in August at the Cliff Club at Snowbird, Utah. Great resort with all sorts of summer activities. Our one bedroom was perfect, even including a private hot tub on our balconey which looked out at beautiful mountains and the zip line and sled run. Really good restaurants on site and two beautiful pools, one on the roof with spectacular views. Side trips to Sundance Ski Resort and Park City. Saw a moose with twins on our hike just above Alta.

A 5 day stay for a business meeting introduced us to the beautiful mountains. The Cliff is a massive cement structure that sits beautifully in the valley. The rooms are clean and comfortable with great mountain views. The window obove the tub was at first disconcerting but it does allow for natural light into the bath which really does need a lighting upgrade. Every staff person that we encountered was friendly and helpful. We were there over an Oktoberfest weekend and greatly enjoyed all of the activities! Don't miss the tram ride to hidden peak. The view is 360 degree beautiful and breathtaking.

We stayed at The Cliff Lodge for a wedding in the late summer. The hotel was surprisingly busy in what I assumed would be a slow off-season. The hotel was fully booked and the parking lot was packed. The walk from the parking lot to the building was a bit confusing, and the concrete block that is the resort left a lot to be desired, but the inside was great. And that concrete block was great at blocking out sounds from other rooms! Stunning views overlooking the mountains were available from every window, even as we sat waiting for the elevator or while in the line at the front desk.

I was most impressed with the size and comfort of the Deluxe Bedroom. With a king sized bed, sofa bed, and ample sitting room, it was great for hosting the bridal party before and after the wedding. In addition, I have to note that we could not help but constantly question the large window in the bathrooms out to the hotel room. Each room I saw featured this, and it was entertaining, if nothing else. I imagine you could open the curtain and enjoy the mountain views while bathing...if you didn't have a room full of bridesmaids :)

Unfortunately, we did not have time to experience the spa or pool, but the pool area looked very enticing with a massive hot tub and stunning mountain views. Also, I must note, the maid did not come when we had requested, so our room was never cleaned while we were there.

We did an exchange from our Caribbean vacation resort -- Utah in late summer was not high on our list, but pickings were slim. Boy, were we surprised! The Cliff Lodge is a wonderful place -- close to Salt Lake City (less than an hour from the airport), with ready access to urban amenities and rural attractions. The Lodge had great facilities -- rides, activities, movie nights, gondola rides, hikes, etc -- that kept the three kids full entertained. A couple of the restaurants were first-rate -- the Mexican place had great staff and lovely food. The Steak Pit was a delight. The pool was large and there were enough hot tubs to meet the demand. The location is stellar -- great mountains and wonderful weather.

Even the best places have their downsides. The brunch was seriously over-priced and far from impressive (the setting in the Atrium is very attractive). Under the terms of our exchange, our room was only cleaned once during the week -- that is not quite enough for a long stay with active people.

In general, the restaurant service was extraordinarily good, the service personnel were enthusiastic and the place was really fun. We could only imagine what the place is like in the winter.

Room Tip: Consider coming during the week. The weekends were really busy; the week days, quiet and relaxing

We traded in from RCI for a one bedroom that sleeps 6. There was a king and two sleeper couches, all very comfy. The sleepers were in good condition without the usual bad springs. If I had any complaint it is that the kitchen is quite small with hardly any counter space and few cooking pans. However, housekeeping was quick to bring me a pan and a pancake griddle. We liked the hot tub on the balcony.

We did buy the activity passes for about $32 with a discount they gave us. We liked the alpine slide, bungee jumper, etc. The best was the peruvian chairlift which provided stunning views and was 15 min. each way. We liked it better than the tram.
We had pizza at the cafe and it was pretty good.
They have a lot of activities. Went on a guided hike with the family.
We would come back.
