Owner description: The Kayenta Community, in southern Utah's red rock country, is a tranquil enclave surrounded by protected lands.A 2,000 acre master planned community of fine homes, custom building sites and community amenities, is located 7 miles west of St. George, Utah. Kayenta is a unique departure from the norm, focused on moderate land use, moderate-sustainable growth, and an appreciation for our magnificent natural setting. Nearby, residents find adventure in the southwest's abundance of places to explore. Zion National Park, Snow Canyon and Bryce Canyon National Park are within view. While just beyond the horizon, adventure seekers will discover places like the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell and Las Vegas.

Stopped here for lunch, which was delicious, and viewed the art galleries. Almost bought a few things (but we told ourselves we would be back, which we never did, so I missed out)

The village is quaint, theirs a delicious cafe, and art on the street that is good for picture taking. Everyone local to Kayenta is so nice, its fun just stopping in to chat. I am happy we stumbled upon this place :)

This is a nice little arts district. Really nice and diverse art galleries and stores. Fun events throughout the year. Really neat labrinth.

It's a pretty drive from the St George area or parts unknown. Kayenta is an Art Village that is fun to look around and perhaps buy a piece of artwork if you want to take a second mortgage out. The views are beautiful. There is a cafe there, but it was very crowded & the food & service was unremarkable.

They have a native demonstration garden there that I found fascinating. For me this was the worth the trip in itself.

Service was great. I always start w service. Because regardless of how the food is if the service sucks then the meal is terrible.

Second time there ordered the same thing. GYROS SALAD made w steak and flash fried Brussel sprouts. Deeelish !

The reason for visiting the Kayenta Art Village was due to a family member’s interest in art. We did not know what to expect. However, it took us two attempts to find the village.
Warning: In Google Maps, DO NOT select Kayenta Art Village on Mumpi Court. It leads to a private house. The village is the Coyote Gulch Art Village
The village is small but interesting to art enthusiast. At 11am on a Monday, few people were out in the hot weather and this place seemed dead. (This place is not in an enclosed mall.) We went into only two stores. The store personnel were friendly. In particular, I was very impressed with Teri Jones, Gallery Manager of Datura Gallery. She was very friendly and informative. (Rating was an extra star due to Teri.) She explained what was available in the Art Village. Her store had interesting jewelry and crafts.
On the grounds is an open outdoor arboretum. The labeled items provided the name of the beautiful, purple flower we have seen locally – heavenly cloud.
If you like to view works by local artists, drive a short distance to the village.
